Yeah, once you've posted we don't delete accounts--too confusing down the line, potentially.

There's obviously no cost associated with an account, so if you don't want to use it, just stop using it. If you abhor the possibility that you might get some kind of automated inactivity notice from us many months or years from now, just change the appropriate settings/email address in your profile.

They had had enough of all of the Tom Petty songs and the Joaquin Phoenix and the rats dressed up for Christmas pictures.

The permanent ban was on a John Fogerty forum. I was accused of spamming because I posted a link to a website I run. The website is dedicated to the music of Billy Burnette, who at the time was a member of Fogerty's touring band. I don't make any money off the site and the link was relevant to the forum and to where I posted it, but the admin apparently thought otherwise.

The temporary ban was from a Fleetwood Mac forum. A group of long time members there had noticed that a particular moderator had been showing favoritism in dealing with disputes on the boards and we all changed our signatures to a particular image to express our disapproval. Initially we all received three day bans, but other members of the forums protested our punishment and it was lifted after a day.

The moderator in question stepped down after that fiasco.

I was banned from 2 forums. The first one was the TUF Forum (The Ultimate Fighter/UFC) but that forum now no longer exists. I was popular till I feuded with the most popular ones there. That was a year long combat between the posters and mods alike (who played lapdog to certain cliques of posters). I know youre thinking "Oh Tongo you always dramatize and exaggerate" but nuh-uh, it really was that bad.

Funny thing, I was posting at the Org too when that all went down, and nobody from the Org gave even a speck of crap. I could tell right then the Org was a meandering random mess and immediately gave them a Dear John letter.

The second forum was very brief, a Pro-Wrestling forum which was so thick with marks and posers.... well they needed to be told how bad they sucked. They banned me before I could finish.

I brought alot of that angst and baggage with me when I came here, and on reflection was quite the loud ass when I first arrived. As time wore on I remember having a "discusson" with Yoda, and i cant even tell you what it was about now. I was being combative, and of course Yoda would answer patiently. Over and over again. Thats when I realized I'd met a real moderator for the first time, and never tried to take the place for granted. This is the only forum I post at. .
