This is the single best movie I have seen in months. It just blew me away. Sam Rockwell is incredible as the film's anti-hero, Chuck Barris, the script by Charlie Kaufman is easily his best work (I found both Being John Malkovich and Adaptation to be way too self consciously "witty"), and George Clooney makes an excellent directorial debut. I have never felt this involved in a movie before. Plus, being one of the many children whose brain was permanently damaged by Barris' The Gong Show, it was unbearably funny at many points. In the end, I really cared about Barris and all his hang-ups and self-loathing. This is THE movie to see right now.
