What do people make of the current state of the WWE? Been reading a lot about it recently following the Royal Rumble. why Bryan isnt a main contender I do not know, but I've just read this too. if Punk leaves, the company is in serious trouble...

I agree there. I haven't watched WWE in ages, but I know that CM punk is a really good wrestler and entertainer. With WWE's golden era of wrestlers getting up there in years, they can't really afford to lose their younger superstars.
I haven't watched the product for a good couple of years now because of the inept writing and booking. They've had numerous opportunities over the years to dethrone Cena as the face of the company and put in somebody new and fresh but they continue to mess it up and make their company one of inertness and disappointment.
It is a pivotal point (once again) in the industry - back to basics has never rang more true in my mind.

I have recently started watching it again. I think a couple months ago. I much prefer TNA but their story lines are getting annoying. I think that WWE is always on the edge as far as what is trending and whatnot, however the twitter stuff and all the hashtag this and hashtag that bugs the piss out of me. They need to push a few of the smaller built guys like The Miz and Daniel Bryan. They are always relying on the big muscular fellas to carry their product and that isn't going to last forever. They need to realize that sometimes the muscular people are going to lose. Lesnar beating Show was bull in life Show would wipe the floor with him. I watched Lesnar in UFC, he would lose. The whole Randy Orton as champion thing is also bull. I get that they are doing what is 'best for business' however the things that they consider 'best for business' are almost always why I end up watching for a few months and then stopping for a year or so and feeling like I haven't missed anything when I start again.
