I was a little wary when, after the cancellation of HAPPY ENDINGS, it was announced that Daman Wayans Jr would be returning to the role of Coach on NEW GIRL. I hated when Wayans left NEW GIRL the first time, but Lamorne Morris has actually really come into his own as Winston and I was afraid that TIIC were just going to give Morris the boot; however, this has not been the case. Coach has been flawlessly returned to the canvas without Winston's character suffering. As a matter of fact, they have kept Coach away from Winston and have him trying to date Schmidt's ex, CeCe. Wayans and Max Greenfield (Schmidt) are hysterical together and the comic potential of the two of them fighting over CeCe is un-mined gold to be sure. I'm loving Coach's return to NEW GIRL and I'm glad that it wasn't at Winston's expense.
