The last film I saw was 'The Butler', a movie written by Lee Daniels and Forest Whitaker and Oprah are in it.
This movie takes place in the 20s' in the United States. It's about the life of the young Cecil Gaines, an African-American who worked in a cotton plantation and who will become a butler at the White House. More than a butler Cecil Gaines will be part of the White House. But Cecil also have two sons. It is through these two sons that the film will trace the evolution of the condition of black people in the United States.
In my opinion, this movie is really touching because it is perfectly realized and it makes us realize the suffering related to racial discrimination. One of my favorite moment was at the end of the movie when Cecil Gaines learns that the new U.S. president is black because we share his feeling of "victory".
This film is a must see! I totally recommend it!
