Please help me with some ques. on Movie Forums.

Hi guys,

I am an Australian PhD student working temporarily in a United States University and am doing some research on discussion forum participation (specifically movie forum participants) - and was wondering if you could help me. This is not a commercial project, its only objective is understanding discussion forum communication between users from an academic perspective. Your privacy is completely protected and you will have absolute anonymity.

I was reluctant to approach your forum directly and instead, paid for opt-in e-mail lists for “movie lovers”. The results were a little dismal as I specifically need people just like you who are “movie lovers” AND who also visit or participate in movie forums. Your forum is particularly interesting as it is so active!!

Wow, thanks everyone. I'm thrilled with your responses. I didn't expect anyone to see my post, or respond, so quickly.

Sorry, I know it is a loooong survey - but I couldn't do anything about it - it had to be what it is (academic research rules unfortunately!!!). So extra thanks for taking the time.

I should find some interesting stuff and I will post a summary of the results.

I did pick the best site - it is very active. I've only just become a member so I'll be dropping in frequently.
