Okay so the real answer (not that it's anybody's business but I've actually already discussed it elsewhere on the forum so what the hell): Primarily heterosexual with bisexual tendencies.

Meaning: I prefer men. I've no sexual experience with women but I do find some of them very much attractive. If the opportunity arose, I wouldn't say no but at the same time I don't see myself ever getting involved with a woman beyond the physical act of sex. I've no interest in any kind of commited relationship with a woman.

So if I were to use the Kinsey scale (which also doesn't encompass all of human sexuality but is a little more accurate for my particular case than the options here): I am a 1 or a 2.

I'll be straight with you (see what I did there?): I won't read the whole thing, but I can definitely give you a pretty helpful assessment of the writing in general, if you'd like. I have a writer friend in Boston who's been working on a supernatural romance/erotica book for a while now and I've been helping with that, so I currently have at least some understanding of the genre.

To me, the point of monogamy is trust, commitment and safety (both on an emotional level and as protection against disease). I think it can be healthy and I think open relationships can be healthy too provided that everybody involved is completely honest with everybody else about what they're doing and what their expectations are.

Also it's important to note that no relationship should ever be seen as a "prison sentence." If you're unhappy, get out. Monogamy doesn't mean life-long commitment. It means only that you stay with that person (and only that person) until the relationship ends.

Exactly. For me, it's about the society you live in. I'd rather be white, I'd rather be male, I'd rather be straight, I'd rather be tall, I'd rather be rich, I'd rather be young, I'd rather be good looking, etc In other societies, some of those things would change. The only thing that I'd really have a preference for is I'd rather be male than female, simply because I wouldn't have to go through the menstrual cycle and menopause. I have no intention of having children, so I wouldn't have to worry about childbirth. However, were I living in a society where abortion was illegal, then that'd be another reason I'd prefer to be male.
