Best Animated Shows of all time

Animation has been an enduring format not only through the last century, but also throughout history, with such inventions as the "flip book" and the "phenakistoscope". Early forms of animation have even been found, dating from 2nd century China.

So now I must ask you an important question: What is your favourite animated television show of all time?

It could be anything from Saturday morning cartoons, to recent American adult-orientated animation, even to Japanese anime (looking at you here Guap).

King of the Hill - In my opinion King of the Hill is the best animated series of all-time.

Batman: The Animated Series - For the best on-screen adaptation of the caped crusader look no further.

Aaahh!!! Real Monsters - Severely overlooked Nickelodeon cartoon.

Samurai Jack - This show kicked a lot of ass. It brilliantly had the main character fighting robotic foes so it could be extra-violent for a kid's show. Good stuff.

Dragon Ball Z - I can't say I love it as much as many of my friends, but it has a lot of charm.

The Simpsons - Cliche, I know, but the first 7 or so seasons deserve the praise the series gets.

While I am a big fanboy of PMMM and Miyazaki I guess that from a more sober point of view I might say that Haibane Renmei is the most artistically accomplished animation I ever seem. I found the whole series in youtube with subtitles, here is episode one:
