Hi everyone. So we reviewed Aliens for our last podcast (Oh Brother Movie Reviews), and after not seeing this for a few years, I have to say it holds up fantastically. It is very creepy, and I felt scared for the marines throughout. Now many fans of this franchise will hate us for saying this, but Aliens is the best and ONLY good movie of this series. Despite Sigourney Weaver's terrible acting and Carrie Henn's ear shattering screams, we loved this movie. Michael Biehn, Lance Hendricksen, and Bill Paxton (especially him) make this movie so much fun! This was also the first time we saw the film with extended scenes. They don't add much to the story, but are cool nonetheless. Good movie! A must see!!

Weaver's acting in this isn't terrible.

I liked all of them equally; save for AvP 2 which was ok, but too cliché and a teen romp. Each of the aliens movies represented a specific aspect and story angle. Aliens represented an army assault approach unlike the others that invariably utilized a singular approach to the story. The military aspect was appealing to most viewers because of the larger variety of characters and it's structure...colony against colony so to speak metaphorically.

All were rich though in acting......especially in 3 with Dutton who gave an exquisite performance and so did sig.

Weaver got awards for her role in Aliens... she rocks that movie.

The film itself was also, in James Cameron's words... Vietnam in space.

A high-tech army making war against a primitive colony with no weapons... and then losing.

All that aside though, Aliens is an awesome film.
