I'd suggest creating a separate section of the forum for rankings and lists. These tend to dominate the Movie Reviews section.

Lists and rankings can be interesting, but a list or a ranking does not necessarily a movie review make.

A pretty decent idea. The only tricky part is that, as you say, some involve reviews and some don't, and having to mediate that each time could be a fair bit of work. But you're right in that they're pretty different, and the pure "list lists" don't fit all that well in the Movie Reviews forum.

However, I'm working on some new features in the Lists area that might circumvent this problem a little. So either that'll do the trick, or I'll look into a sub-forum or something similar to help differentiate them. Thanks for the feedback. :)
