How do I put ratings into a thread

I've noticed that people tend to have those popcorn rating things in their review threads. I would like to put that in too. How do I do that?

Without the * you get [rating]4
For half popcorns just add a .5

[mark f]

2.5[/rating*] without the * would be [rating]2.5
