Am I missing something?
This year not only are the contestants not as good on X-Factor but the judges are a joke along with the coreograpphy and the costumes that border on the bizarre.
The Voice is much better.

No your not missing anything. The contestants are horrible this year. Not that they were all that great last year, but I did like that scruffy guy that came in second place.
The Voice is eons better. I like the Scottish guy on Blake's team; the little artsy girl on Adam's team, Treyvon from Cee-lo's team and no one from Christina's team.

Interesting. The Scottish guy is my overall pick. He should be the next great rock star.

I've never seen anyone from any of these shows transform into anything big out of them in recent years. Clay Aiken? Maybe Susan Boyle? I guess.
But no "next big rockstars"
And BTW I only watch the auditions of these shows, that's when it's inresting IMO

The Voice UK didn't go down well here after a strong beginning, rubbish series. Don't know about other countries, but here it was rubbish. Most people I talk to who watched the whole series can't even remember who won...

American Idol has had some great successes: Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarckson, Chris Daughtry, Adam Lambert is on his way. There are a few others.
Clay Aiken - nothing special.

Here we go X-Factor.
Tate Stevens emotional cowboy, a few cracks here and there.
LA Reid is not being honest. Even when his contestants don't do as well, he is always over-praising them. It's like he wants to win so bad, he doesn't mind lying how he really feels.

Diamond White, one of my favorites, just sang a very sweet thank you to her mom. Only 13 years old, does this kid ever have a bright future! Even if she doesn't win, some producer will scoop her up. Time for a young black female Beiber.

Emblem 3 just got thore up by LA Reid. He gets on my nerves. He is so biased. The only thing worse is watching a 200 pound Chloe Kardashian strutting around in her skin tight white dress. What is the promoter thinking?
This young surfer boy group has a lot going for it, a fresh unique harmony.

Looks like Arin Ray is not getting the right coaching, not that I expected it from Britany. This kid has the package but has to be channeled right to make it. Here's were LA Reid would have been right for him.

Cece Fry just showed her emotion, singing to her dead sister. Something new for her. It's like an alter ego showing up. Her alley cat attitude might be getting softer and thus more appealing. Her voice has always been there.

Fifth Harmony just had a very nice rendition of Stand By You not just as a group but individualy, as well. Good for them.

I'm only half watching this, but I caught that little girl singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow. I love that song and she sang it really, really well.

Beatrice Miller is the poster girl for America's girl next door. Soo cute and adorable, it transcends her voice. Sometimes the likeability factor really over-rides everything else and this is such a case.
I can see her being in a sit com.

Simon said it: " You can't judge a book by it's cover " - the tatood face, the thugish moves and the voice that belies that, showing a softer side under that hard surface. Easily the best performance so far tonight by Vino.

An over-emotional Paige Thomas might be going home. To make it worse, the display of tatoos didn't help.

Did I just read that right? There's a contestant called Diamond White?
If my surname was White, the last thing I'd call my kid is Diamond.
In Britain, Diamond White is a cider that extreme alcoholics, hoodie wearing teenagers and tramps drink due to the high alcohol content and extremely low price.
It's the cider equivalent to Special Brew.

Solely based on their performances tonight Arin and Paige should be going home but Cece might replace one of them. Anything else would be a surprise.

Please read for those who know results already:
Can you put any voting results/rankings into spoiler tags please because Britain is only a few days behind when they broadcast the show and results show here. Just respectful for those who are fans of the USA version of the show here in Britain.
Thanks. :)
We get the live first show on Thursday night, and the results/rankings on Friday night.

Yep, she is a fabulous little singer and it was obvious they were going to bring her back as a 'wild card' when she was voted out on the very first show.
I really hope Arin Ray goes, or Tate Stevens. Not a fan of either at all. I can't believe Tate Stevens comes first in the rankings every week so far... seriously.

I'm in total agreement. Tate, unfortunately, will be around for awhile. Americans love their country music. Especially in the part of the country I live in. I hate it, but Tate's voice seems as good as any male country singer out there. Also on Idol they have had a few country singer winners. :(

They granted your wish, Nausicaa. Unfortunately, they also let Beatrice Miller go and I much rather have seen CeCe depart. No real emotion, just a lot of good acting. One could freeze from cold standing next to that girl.

I thought that was insane. She sounded so much better than Cece. I don't think I ever really payed attention to her before, but I thought she sounded great on that last song. I can't understand why Cece was picked for the live shows in the first place.

She does posses a tecnically very good voice but her personality seems very self-centered, ruthless and cold.
Interesting how she was able to manipulate the voting audience by her explosion of tears.

I don't think Demi has a clue. Neither has Brittany. The costume choreography has been atrocious. And what is Cloe Kardashian doing on this show? I think Simon is going through a mid-life crises, and I really liked him. This year is unbelievably bad.
The Voice is the best and belive me I didn't used to like it.

^ They need to get rid of that Kardashian, she is hopeless, made quite a lot of mistakes. That Mario Lopez is fine and dandy on his own as the presenter, don't even know why they need two... the UK X-Factor has always had one presenter and that's enough.
Glad Arin Ray has gone, but shame about Beatrice.

Watching X-factor now. No spoilers needed, as these are not the results but just my subjective performance opinions.
Diamond White I like but wrong song choice for her, thanks to Britney who is not satified with what works for Diamond - balads. Up tempo song was just pitchy and wrong for Diamond.

Vino Alan's performance was lacking. Wrong for Vino and hypocriticaly supportive of LA. I feel Vino might be bye bye.

Paige had to fight Demi to bring herself out. Good for her. I don't think Demi has a clue but here she is trying to take the credit.
Paige can be very relevant but she has to keep fighting to go with her instinct rather than allow Demi to push choices on her.

I think Vino and CeCe will be in the bottom. Being that this will be her third time, she will be sent home. Although, Diamond could be in trouble. Bad song choice.

Love Carly Rose. She is brilliant and proved it by making Adelle's song her own. Huge risk as it sounded completely different from the original and the original is what America knows and loves.
Britney's playing with fire.
Carly could win it all but I absolutely hate her mentor.
Britney comes off as a very dull individual and is way past her youthfull glory that has sustained her for so long.
When I heard that Simon wanted her as a judge, I almost threw up.
In comarison, Jennifer Lopez has more personality in her little pinky.

Why do they keep sending two home? they seem to have a lot sent home so far and they are already catching up with how many the UK version has left and our version has been on about four weeks longer. We have four singers left, and the American X-Factor has six...
In our version, I just hope they get rid of bloody Christopher, can't believe people keep voting this 'cruise ship' singer in.

Well I have already as I watch the UK one here. He's all right but he has murdered some songs over the course of this series. His performace of Power of Love was good last night though. I'm hoping it's him and Jahmene Douglas in the final two.

Couldn't agree with you more. Apparently country fervor is great in the USA. I like Carly but thought Fifth Harmony might win, but let's face it, how do you take five girls that don't make the original single cut, but win as a group? They did have the momentum going in. And Carly is only 13 years old but her sheer talent and composure should have been rewarded. Not to worry, Brithey will sign her for sure. Simon may personaly invest in Fifth Harmony as well as Emblem Five. LA Reid might sign Vino. So all those might actually do better down the road that Tate Stevens ever will.
Haven't heard much about last year's winner, which I thought was a miss, too.
Nausicaä

I wanted Fifth Harmony to win and Carly to come second - I think she's too young to win and get locked into a contract(or whatever it is), now she can take her time with the direction she wants to take, don't think we will see the last of either though. :)
