Could anyone give me step by step instructions as to how I can attach a picture to my posts using an iPhone? I have read the FAQ section but it is difficult for me to understand. I am not at all skilled in this area. Tia!

Can't do it from the Quick Reply box, if that's the issue. But on the Post Reply page, hit the "Manage Attachments" button, or the little paperclip above the post text box. Should be self-explanatory from there. :)

That said, I'm not sure if the iPhone allows you to use standard form uploads or not. But that'd be the way to do it, if it does.

So I clicked on manage attachments and it brought me to another page where is has the option to upload a file from a URL. I had gone to photobucket and copied an image. I pasted the image and hit upload, but it says invalid file.

You're mixing the two image options, actually. That form is for uploading files directly from the computer you're using. If you already have the image uploaded somewhere (in this case, Photobucket), then just click on the little portrait icon (to the right of the link icon) and enter the image URL there. That's the IMG tag, which is described in the FAQ (http://www.movieforums.com/community/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_attachments).

I didn't have anything uploaded; I basically just copy and pasted a photo URL into the space that says "upload file from a URL" and I clicked upload. I clicked upload and it says invalid file.

Right; you don't post URLs into the file upload. If you have a URL already, that means the image is already uploaded somewhere, even if you personally haven't uploaded it. You only need the file upload if you're uploading an image from your hard drive.

You were close in your last deleted post; the slash needs to go the other way. And you'll need a URL that goes directly to the image, and not the page it's on. If you want to PM me the URL of the image I can show you how the format it. :)

You're trying to link to a webpage, rather than an image. Also, it appears the webpage produces an error anyway. Where are you getting the URL?

That was from picsearch.com; what I did was click on the image and hit copy. Then hit paste on the forum.

There are a couple of problems. The first is that you're copying the "Website for this image" link, when you want to copy the "Full-size image" link. The second is that that particular image doesn't exist there any more, anyway, even though the thumbnail is still on Picsearch.
