Wanted to do this before the Thursday night game, but then I didn't. Cool story, bro.

-

11 Angry Men (2-3) vs. The Replicants (1-4)
Mike's heavy on the Giants with both Eli and Cruz, who (both!) have to play San Francisco. Wallace had a nice matchup and already put up 17.4 points, so that's good, and stuff. I'm missing MJD on a Bye, and Mike's not missing anyone. But Gonzalez (#1 TE by a big margin so far) and White both have a good matchup against Oakland. So I like my chances.

PREDICTION: Rhymes with "Unleavened Angry Hens."

Dillon Panthers (3-2) vs. Beantown Champs (4-1)
Pete put up a huge total last week and sits atop the standings at 4-1 and with the points total. His lineup doesn't look super scary, but he's gotten some huge early returns out of Bradshaw and Richardson. He'll be without Jimmy Graham this week, but Tongs is missing Steve Smith and Greg Olsen. But he's still Denver-heavy and San Diego's pass defense has been pretty bad so far. I'm calling an upset.

PREDICTION: TONGO.

Team Zissou (2-3) vs. Liquor And Whores (4-1)
Rough week for Fiscal, who has to do without Forte and Bush, since they're on the same team and stuff, and was a little light at RB even before that. He'll probably have to roll with Fred Jackson and Alex Green at RB this week. PW's not missing any starters, but he already got just 2.7 out of Mendenhall, who was looking good but got himself injured again. I think I'm gonna call another upset here.

PREDICTION: PW = Esteban. Fiscal = Jaguar Shark.

Big Damn Heroes (3-2) vs. Sookie's Suckers (3-2)
Jay already got 19 points out of Big Ben, 12 out of Miller, and 13 out of Wright, all at or just above their projections, and those projections already had him as an 18-point favorite. LT's Patriot-heavy and they're up against a tough Seattle defense. I think Jay wins handily even though he's missing Cam Newton and Colston.

PREDICTION: Jay.

show me the money (0-5) vs. RG3scompany (4-1)
Dusty's the last winless team. That's not unheard of in league history, though; our very first season, 2008, saw The Face Huggers start 0-7 and Pete's Beantown Champs (then the BeanTown Champs) start 0-8. He's actually the fourth team to start with five losses. Bad start to this one, too, as the Pittsburgh D put up just 5 points on Thursday, and Adam's projected points were already 13 points higher.

RG3 finally disappointed Adam last week, as he was pretty bad even before his injury. But Adam won anyway thanks to Mathews and Marshall, and it looks like RG3 won't miss this week's game, either. He is missing Marshall, though, which means he has to roll with Davone Bess at WR. I tend to think he'll get more like top 7 production out of the QB spot the rest of the way rather than top 3-4, but it should be enough to win this week.

PREDICTION: Adam.

I Be Weave (1-4) vs. Wyld Stallyns (3-2)
Dex gets Calvin Johnson back and isn't losing anyone to the Byes. Sleezy does without Sproles and has to use Danny Woodhead in his place. A risk, but a reasonable one for a Bye week fill-in. Both teams have decent projected scores, but Sleezy's got Welker going against Seattle and Rodgers going against Houston, both tough matchups. He's going with two TEs this week, too, because of Amendola's injury; Celek at TE, and Witten in the Flex.

Probably the toughest call of the week, but...

PREDICTION: Dex.

-

If I start 2-4 I'm probably going to throw a tantrum. Just warning you guys.

What's up with your big dumb stupid head Pittsburgh D? Figured I might at the very least get maybe 5 to 10 out of Mendenhall and then be able to safely bench "Gold Teef" who has been averaging a whopping 2.5 points a week or so. But Nooooooooo. Friggin Steelers. Mendenhall gets hurt (again) and CJ gets almost 16.

F*ckin' fantasy football man.

Chris why you do me like that.

Now that I know how to play this game I wish I had a dog in this hunt.

TONGO

Still undecided on Brian Hartline or Jeremy Maclin. Hartlines the #1 guy in Miami, but St Louis defense is Jeff Fisher tough. The "experts" all say Maclin vs Detroit should start over him. Thing is, Hartlines actually earned more fantasy points than Marshawn Lynch, and Vick isnt the passer he was last year, so I keep putting Hartline back in. I dont know what to do. Alls I need is Stephens-Howling to be tabbed the starter in Arizona, and then Ill be waffling on my RBs too. :scream:

TONGO
10-14-12, 01:06 PM
Going Maclin. If he scores lower than Hartline, I feel it will be this guys fault.....

.......and very much looking forward to Patriots vs Seahawks. New England has rarely played Seattle, and curious how the Brady Bunch fares.

PW sounds unusually worked up about this one.

Fiscal
10-14-12, 02:02 PM
I have a friend at the Seahawks Patriots game. Don't be surprised if someone runs onto the field and kicks Tom Brady in the leg. Also don't be surprised if he is tackled to death.

Yoda
10-14-12, 02:12 PM
Surprised? I imagine that happening every time I watch the Patriots.

Sleezy
10-14-12, 02:23 PM
Go Patriots. :)

DexterRiley

Mike Williams has arrived. Gotta figure a way to get him into the lineup.

Yoda
10-14-12, 04:35 PM
Man, it's not looking good right now. Might need a big game outta Nicks.

Yoda
10-14-12, 06:16 PM
Nice late surge and we've got ourselves a game, but Bryant's huge day (dude, like, almost doubled his season total this week, of course) and an Eli-Cruz TD a moment ago (that Seds gets both ends of) have him up 7, and I'm outmanned in the remaining games.

So, still looking bad.

Powdered Water
10-14-12, 07:04 PM
We're going to murder him until he is dead.

Nevermind.

Yoda
10-14-12, 07:05 PM
Hey, don't give up completely. You might not murder him, but maybe you could split the difference with some manslaughter.

Sedai
10-14-12, 07:42 PM
My scoring is all messed up - Dez Bryant only showing 3 receptions for 25 yards... :-/

If I hadn't watched the game, I would be worried!

At this point I'd just be overjoyed if we could somehow snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat.

Quite right. :) But I started Welker and Woodhead today, and a Seahawks loss can only help Minnesota. ;)

Sleezy
10-14-12, 08:21 PM
And Seahawks win.

Nice.

I need my kicker to outscore Seds' by 7...which isn't that likely. Basically, I'd probably be fine if Bryant had had a REALLY good day, instead of a completely insane one. D'oh.

TONGO
10-14-12, 09:36 PM
Yeah you two got a close one there. Never seen before it going down to the teams 2 kickers to decide a matchup.

Im in a jam against Petey. His Chimps have 87.40 to my 66.60. I have Peyton, Willis, and Decker tomorrow, but he has 3 players to play yet too. Rivers and the San Diego Defense, plus Randall Cobb tonight. I think I have a shot. Houstons good enough to shut down Cobb tonight, and the Broncos can overwhelm his Chargers defense. I think itll still be close.

Sleezy
10-15-12, 12:49 AM
Rodgers with six TDs. Wow. Glad I didn't trade him.

Yoda
10-15-12, 09:39 AM
So, looks I'm going to be a close second for total points scored, but I'm somehow going to be 2-4.

Damn the Pats game! Damn it!!!

Meanwhile - Woah! I somehow pulled a win off this week? I am starting to feel like a spoiler...

Yoda
10-15-12, 10:26 AM
Aye. This was a tough one.

Nice game, Mike. I think we can credit Bryant for most of this one.

At least Spiller had another great game. That's very encouraging going forward. But man, 2-4...even with the guys I've got, that doesn't leave a lot of margin. Probably need to go 6-2 the rest of the way to even make the playoffs.

Sedai
10-15-12, 11:38 AM
I feel the same! Seems like my team might be coming alive a bit, although I still need to figure out a decent RB2...I think I will try Bell next week.

Not that Bolden isn't a good back (AVG 5.2 per carry this season), but he got hurt Sunday. :(

DexterRiley
10-15-12, 08:27 PM
My teams record is horrible, at the same time the talent is there to slap together a killer streak to save the season and make the playoffs.

Its a weird feeling.

TONGO
10-15-12, 08:51 PM
Im the 2nd lowest scoring team in the league, and am 3-2. Go figure.

Got a brutal gap to fill against Petey, and its not looking good for my Panthers. Peteys got 40 points on me, plus the San Diego Defense and Philip Rivers. I have Peyton, Willis, and Decker. Randall Cobb hurt me last night when Rodgers was channeling "the force" against Houston.

On top of that I discover now Peyton Manning has had a horrible record against San Diego. Got beat 5 out of the last 6, and Philip Rivers has had the more touchdowns against Denver than any other team hes played against. crap :(

TONGO
10-15-12, 10:52 PM
This first half of Monday Night Football is hard to watch. San Diego is owning Denver defensively and offensively winning 17-0. Peytons thrown an interception returned for a TD to boot.

Between my overall point output, and most likely dropping to 3-3, it looks like this squad is bound to be a midcarder in the league. Ive had worse.

TONGO
10-16-12, 12:28 AM
Things are looking alot better! :) Second half Peytons thrown 3 TDs, Rivers has been intercepted three times, and fumbled. Ive just now overtaken the Beantown Champs and am winning 129.96 to his 128.36.

TONGO
10-16-12, 12:35 AM
4 INTERCEPTIONS!! Ive never seen Rivers this bad.

TONGO
10-16-12, 12:48 AM
Unbelievable. Rivers now fumbles a 2nd time, and this game is done. I beat Beantown Petey 130.46 to 126.28. Biggest comeback from halftime (24-0) in MNF history.

Sedai
10-16-12, 09:51 AM
Crazy game, eh Tongs?

Thanks to Mr. McGahee, I am now 5-1 in my other league! It was a similar situation to yours, in that I had McGahee vs Matthews, so it all came down to the Monday night game. I won by less than 1 point....

Yoda
10-16-12, 10:15 AM
I'm near the very top for points scored and I'm 2-4. WHAT.

10-16-12, 03:32 PM
Well there's always next year for me. Strange I'm in 3 leagues for football (2 for money). Last in this one, last in my other money league, and 1st place in my main league. Just strange, that's all.

Sleezy
10-16-12, 03:57 PM
How different are your teams? Got any of the same players?

rauldc14
10-16-12, 04:00 PM
This is my 1st place team in my other league.

QB Brady
WR R. White
WR Nicks (killing me with his injuries)
WR Austin
RB Forte
RB S. Greene (love 34 point games)
TE Hernandez
Flex C. Johnson (Picked him up last week for Benjarvus)
K Prater (whom I just cut)
DEF Arizona

Bench
F. Davis (underachieving)
Cobb
W. Powell
A. Green
Luck
J. Stewart

so in essence, the only common player is Austin

Sedai
10-16-12, 04:22 PM
My 5-1 team:

Brady
Welker
Fitzgerald
Dez Bryant
T-Rich
Willis McGahee
Owen Daniels
G Zurlein
Green Bay

Yoda
10-16-12, 04:30 PM
I'm the top scoring team in my other league:

Romo
Rice
Sproles
R. White
A.J. Green
E. Decker
T. Gonzalez

So, three dudes in common with my MoFo team.

Sleezy
10-16-12, 04:42 PM
I'm currently 2nd in TONGO's league at 5-1.

QB -Cam Newton/Andy Dalton
WR -A.J. Green
WR -Vincent Jackson
RB -Reggie Bush
RB -Frank Gore
TE -Brent Celek/Jared Cook
FX -Nate Washington/Andrew Hawkins/Davone Bess
KR -Blair Walsh
DF -Baltimore/Atlanta

And I'm trying to sit tight on Pierre Garcon, who's killing me with this nagging foot injury.

rauldc14
10-16-12, 05:45 PM
I wish I would have been smart enough to draft A.J. Green. I knew for sure he'd be a top tier WR.

Sleezy
10-16-12, 05:53 PM
Yeah. He plays in a usually tough defensive division, but Baltimore and Pittsburgh are both somewhat depleted this season and Cleveland has struggled without their top CB Joe Haden (who Green has burned in the past anyway).

I targeted him specifically because he's got a great young QB in Andy Dalton and he is far and away the man's main and favorite target there. That translates into big, fat, sexy numbers.

TONGO
10-16-12, 08:20 PM
Ive got an undefeated freak in the PPR Jungle this year....

QB Aaron Rodgers
WR Victor Cruz
WR Brandon Marshall
RB Ray Rice
RB Ahmad Bradshaw
TE Jason Witten
W/R Was Danny Amendola, now probably Kendall Wright or Alex Green
K Justin Tucker
D Houston

TONGO
10-17-12, 08:43 PM
I squeaked out a victory vs Petey, but now I have the #1 ranked team up against me this weekend in Adams RG3SCompany.

Peyton Manning, Willis McGahee, Eric Decker, Jeremy Maclin, and Brian Hartline are all on a bye week.

For my Flex I went Daryl Richardson, but then decided instead on Donnie Avery. Nate Burleson will finally get a start, and Ryan Fitzpatrick hopefully rocks vs the Titans.

http://newspaper.li/static/607162a3582e6d714e8bfe6780e677b2.jpg

Though Im kinda hoping this guy erupts finally. Steve Smith is due.

Yoda
10-18-12, 06:04 PM
I just realized that, in the 12 games I've played in my 2 leagues combined, neither of my teams has failed to score at least 115 in any game. I seriously haven't had a bad week even once, with either of them.

Still 6-6 in the two combined (2-4 here, 4-2 there). 1st in points there, and basically tied for 2nd here. Oy.

TONGO
10-18-12, 11:25 PM
After the season Petey had last year, a season long screwing sooooo bad even I remember it a year later, I bet hes laughing his balls off at your supposed plight. Your teams loaded, but yeah you cant afford to lose many more for the rest of the year.

I like Marshawn Lynch. One of those runners that will stiff arm his way to a 75+ yard game no matter who the defense is. 3rd quarter against the 49rs and hes so fars fgot 84 yards, and a catch for 13 more.
Defense-shmefense! :p

Sedai
10-19-12, 10:23 AM
Lynch is WAY underrated.

Sedai
10-19-12, 10:51 AM
Check your line-ups guys....

Wow...just wow...my RBs are a complete joke.
