Well Since the Dark Knight Rise's just came out i think I'll start with the Batman movies.

Batman Begins

Christopher Nolan.

Batman begins is the start of nolan's trilogy and was the start of the new era of batman, the new generation of the character that everyone knows and loves and wow did this movie deliver. This batman was something different from the cheesy crap that had come beforehand, no more batman Ice skating, or no more crazy gadgets like the batman credit card (still laughing).

What Nolan delivered was fantastic action, great characters and good story, with alot of cool a** gadgets along the way. Batman was now back to the dark side with the tumbler jumping over the buildings of Gothem in one of the coolest and most exciting car chases in movie history (really). This was Nolan's first big movie blockbuster and boy did he deliver in a big dark way.

I think the best aspect about Batman Begins is that it's about Batman. Not the Joker, Penguin or any other villian, it's about the guy in the title. Overall, I find this to be Nolan's weakest film (due to some pacing, sound and editing problems), but I have to give it props for giving Batman his movie back.

Yeah I like the fact it's more about batman than the villains, I love his journey and his training of becoming batman. I think batman begins is my second favourite of the trilogy.

The Dark Knight

Christopher Nolan

http://cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Dark-Knight-Joker2.jpg

Well 3 years after Batman Begins and Christopher Nolan delivered this masterpiece The Dark Knight. The Dark knight is the best comic book movie to have hit are screens and probably one of my favourite movies full stop. Christopher Nolan delivered not only something equally as good as Batman Begins but something that blew it out of the water and changed the path for how good a comic book movie can be.

The Dark knight brought us what we all loved about the first movie, the action, great characters and fine acting, but also added something to take it to the next level, Heath Ledger. Ledger's portrayal of The Joker was nothing but brilliance, I could go even go as far as to say perfection. From the Joker being frightening, funny and even crazy it was treat for all to watch and a fine performance from a great actor. From start to finish The Dark Knight never let us go and took us on a action adventure that I could watch again and again and again. This movie was Christopher Nolan at his best.

The Dark Knight Rises

Christopher Nolan

http://www.dudewheresmymuscle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/tom-hardy-workout.jpg?91b549

Four long years I've wait for the most anticipated movie off all time (well in my head), four long years I've waited to see what Christopher Nolan can come up with next, the answer? Disappointment. After what we seen with the last Batman movies everyone even Nolan himself was promising "Epic", tho's where the words of Nolan and that's what everyone was expecting.

The Dark Knight Rises was in 2 parts for me, a great opening sequence that lead me to believe that this was going to be "Epic ", a solid first half that was looking every bit of Nolan. Then the second half came along and I don't know what happened, did Joel Schumacher take over the script or did Nolan just lose his way. The Plot, a ticking bomb straight from the script of a bond or xxx movie, seriously I was expecting Daniel Craig to fly around the corner in his Aston Martin. Maybe ime being to Harsh on this movie because I did like certain aspects of the movie, Joseph Gordan Levitt did a brilliant job for instance, and I loved Bane in the first half of the movie. Nolan still delivered on the action but for me the movie seemed like a poor effort and a bad end to the trilogy.

Batman

Tim Burton

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U_gsAnfOpdE/TZy4T2pwbXI/AAAAAAAAFE8/5BExwvGkLIU/s1600/batman_1989.jpg

Tim Burtons batman still remains one of my favourite comic book movies out there, sure it's a little different from Christopher Nolan's version but it's still a very good movie. Dark, camp, humour, creepy there is alot I like about this movie and alot that is very much dated now but still fun to watch. Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker, what a team and what a performance by both men. Tho the Joker may be a little different from Heath Ledger's version, he's still fun to watch and still as crazy. I love how dark Burton went with his Batman and tho abit crazy at times he stays in the realism of the world just as much as Nolan did, great film.

Batman Returns

Tim Burton

http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr211/Veidt/Batman_Returns_Max_Selina.png

Well Tim Burton's sequel Batman Returns like Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight was better than the first movie in the series, darker, scarier and more action packed than the first film. Batman Returns Is up there as one of my favourite movies out there. Batman meets the very scary looking penguin in this sequel and what a performance from little Devito. Also on are screen is probably one of the sexiest characters ever... Catwoman, take note Nolan this is how catwoman is meant for our eyes. Overall Batman Returns is a fantastic film.

Batman Forever

Joel Schumacher

http://www.filmophilia.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/batman-forever-1.jpg

Well we return to the series This time around with a new director and a new batman, is it as good tho?. Well Batman forever takes a different approach with this take, its cheesy, fun and abit over the top but it's still quite fun to watch. Two face and The Riddler have took to the streets of Gothem to try there look at beating the Bat and the pair are quite the comedy duo. Also by batman's side this time around is Robin, so the movie is full of new characters and crazy antics. Batman has lost alot of the darkness now and it feels that its aimed at a younger audience, still a good fun movie tho and worth a watch.

The Incredible Hulk

Louis Leterrier

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QK2Q7YFBLng/T6fLPHkf2AI/AAAAAAAAAgw/bAb_VlkcxOg/s1600/Incredible+Hulk.jpg

The big green monster hit are screens in 2008 with Edward Norton taking over the role of The Hulk (well sort off). Well I found this Hulk movie to be a massive improvement on the 2003 film starring Eric Bana. I thought the hulk him self looked much better, i thought the movie flowed alot nicer and i thought Ed Norton did a better job as Bruce Banner.

This movie has some great action scenes, it has the hulk doing what he does best and smashing everything around him to pieces and it had a pretty gripping story. I actually enjoyed this movie more than I did the Avengers and I still think that Norton has done the best portrayal on the big screen.

I have a giant soft spot for Burton's original Batman film. Many criticise it, saying it should be called The Joker, instead of Batman. And when compared to Nolan's The Dark Knight, it isn't the masterpiece TDK is. But one thing I've always loved about Burton's take on the subject is that he shows definite love for the characters. While Nolan had his Batman wade through morally murky waters, Burton portrays Batman as the heroic caped crusader, who does save the day, stops the bad guy and gets the girl. It's largely Gothic action fantasy, which I love. And that final shot, with Batman standing on top of the tower, watching over Gotham with Danny Elfman's triumphant theme plays, is one of the most perfect endings I have seen on a film.

Well ime not really a fan of the horror movies we see being released today, but I do love the old horror stuff and the Texas Chainsaw Masacre movies are some of my favourites. The Texas Chainsaw Masacre part 2 is probably my favourite of the series, well ask me on another day and I might say part 1, but both are great movies and there isn't very much between them. Part 2 has a scene in the movie that still sickens me to this very day, I still cringe every time I watch it, it has me covering my eyes and looking away with every viewing ( Radio Station). If you have seen this movie you will know exactly what ime talking about, to even write it may have you covering your eyes and looking away.

This movie delivers everything the first movie did plus more, a big crazy guy with a chainsaw running wild, and a family that will make your family seem normal for a while. If you haven't seen this movie you should check it out, great horror.

I find that scene harder to watch than ever now because Lou Perryman, the guy who plays L.G. and gets hammered, was actually murdered by someone in real life in 2009. I love his character in the movie and his death in the movie always upsets me --- and now it's just even worse. Someone took an axe, I believe it was, to him.

Death Proof

Quentin Tarantino

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PnL4-1NEeNQ/TVSvk7V8G2I/AAAAAAAALmo/J1iJhqOZznI/s400/ferlito.jpg

When people hear the name Tarantino, they think of movies like, pulp fiction, reservoir dogs and kill bill. All them movies are great movies but I love his other work, like true romance, from dusk till dawn and Death Proof. Death Proof may be a film alot of you haven't seen, its a movie that goes under the radar (it is very underrated) and it's a shame.

Death Proof has Tarantino written all over it, It oozes style from the very beginning. Death proof has everything we have come to love about Tarantino, well everything that I have come to love, many of you may disagree. The cast is great, especially Kurt Russell. Rosario Dawson also does a fine job, and there is a bunch of other girls there to sex things up a little more. If you like girls feet, you will probably love this movie.

I think, with Death Proof, Quentin was being overly self-indulgent and constantly making the experience a homage to his influences that it becomes more of an exercise than a film. Moreover, I don't think it's paced very well, and his writing is less brilliant than usual.

Kurt Russell was a badass, though.
