Disappointing to see High Noon getting spanked, though I haven't seen the other film.

I really liked High Noon, however Le Cercle Rouge is excellent and thoroughly deserves to be spanking just about everything else in these two brackets.

That is true. I personally think Vertigo is Hitchcock's 5th best film, but I still love it.

I like Carl T. Dreyer's films. But none could be better than Vertigo except Day of Wrath.
