What up movie maniacs!!! I am new here so, welcome to myself
I am utterly disgusterly disappointed with what's been coming out of hollywood lately....Promiscuos, i mean Prometheus was such a let down...same for Chernobyl diary...I mean it had such a good potential...A scary picture in the infamous chernobyl site...how come they screwed it up....ok no more rant...:D

Welcome and yes I agree that there is a ton of trash coming out of Hollywood with all the remakes and everything, I have not seen Prometheus yet so I can't comment on that.

Not all remakes are bad, 21 Jump Street was quite good & it also establishes itself not as a remake but a continuation of the tv series. Even though the genre was changed from drama to comedy. But it can be seen as a spin-off.

JJ Abrams Star Trek was quite good too, I know its 2 years old.. Both the movies I mentioned have really good screenplays.

Prometheus was a bit disappointing for me as well, I was expecting something fresh.. it also had a weak screenplay.

Not seen Chernobyl Diaries, but the trailer seemed good...

Anyway, welcome. Hope to see more of you around here.

Welcome to the site. :) Can't say I'm surprised you were disappointed by those two, though I'm quite surprised you expected anything from The Chernobyl Diaries.

Christopher Nolan will save Hollywood. He doesn't endorse cheap fads like 3D or unneccessay CGI ( he called it "animation"). He will continue to make great movies and others will follow.

Long live Nolan!
