God knows I've been suicidal before in my life, but this Olympic **** is going to the be the thing that pushes me over the edge, I swear it is.
For the record, and dismissing countries, rivalry, etc, yellow and green is a godawful combo. Always has been, always will be. I've always felt sorry for Norwich City fans.

I always watch the opening ceremony and that's it, and as I'm up North it's easier to ignore and I don't think I'm travelling anywhere near London/Heathrow during the time it's on. Why is it going to push you over the edge? :p
The opening and closing of the games are the only things worth watching for a non-sports fan like me. And anyway, China is gonna laugh at our asses.

Why is it going to push you over the edge? :p
Because it's all I'm going to hear about. It wouldn't be so bad if it was somewhere else. Why couldn't we have let the French host it? Saddle them with the debt and trouble and then we could enjoy it the best way you can, through the medium of television. I really enjoy the Olympics (not as much as I used to but still) but we've already had seven years of it and it's only now that it's really kicking into high gear. It's like Christmas writ large. :(
The constant linking, hearing about it and, the new one, being told we have to enjoy it otherwise we're somehow letting the country down (which, natually, I don't care about anyway) is really pissing me off. I that every little thing has to irritates me to a ridiculous degree but, unlike most of those things, this one's only going to get worse.
Also, what the **** are you doing watching the opening and closing ceremonies?!?!? That's the Olympic version of LotR.
