Just watched this martial-arts action flick with Cung Le and Van Damme.

Pretty refreshing and nice sequences. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an action-movie (martial arts) fix =)

Cung Le has a very quiet nobility to him that suits him well in these types of roles. And I love how JCVD has re-invented himself in his movies - not trying to overact or overachieve what his physical limits are at his age.

I usually will not comment on movies I haven't seen but to tell you the truth the very mention of Cung Le is a turn-off for me. I think he is easily the most over-hyped and over-rated martial artist of recent times.
An over-the-hill Wanderlei Silva really exposed him but I'm not complaining as I made a lot of money on that fight.:p He is scheduled to fight Rich Franklin at UFC 148 and after Franklin destroys him, that should be the end of his UFC career.
As far as your comment about Van Damme trying to do more roles within his age limitations, you are spot on. Steven Seagal, who is a much better real martial artist, should learn something from JCVD in that regard.
So far Dragon Eyes has received very bad reviews but I think I'll take a look at it when I have the time, as a courtesy, just because you brought it up. At least that way I can do justice to any critique.
