I'm meeting some MoFos in Washington D.C. this weekend

Well, possibly. I'm driving down to D.C. today and coming back Monday night, and I know I'm meeting MattJohn on Sunday. Holden and I had planned to meet up, but I'm still trying to confirm all that. Decent chance you'll all get photos of three MoFos together at the same time, though. More later.

Well, got back yesterday evening. Met Holden and MattJohn on Sunday, and it was awful out. Rainy, cold, and windy. Some logistical hiccups slowed the whole thing down and made it difficult to move around, but Holden was quite gracious about it all; MattJohn and I met at his hotel, then hopped on the metro over to the National Archives to meet Holden. Then we got a pitcher of beer and grabbed some food. It wasn't particularly calculated; we pretty much just needed a place to sit down out of the rain, and Matt pretty much started yelling "Beer!" when he saw word lit up on the building.

Was very nice to meet them both; and obviously, a little surreal, seeing as how I've "known" Holden for a decade on here, and MattJohn for about half as long. Just talked about random stuff; movies, TV, how to find space in our respective time budgets to absorb all the entertainment out there.

Was very cool, though, and I'm fairly sure this is the first time more than two long-time MoFos have met up. We snapped a couple of pictures before going our separate ways, too. As you can see, the rain got us pretty good:

Now I REALLY wish I had gone. Lisa and I may make a trip to DC in the next few months to visit our friend that works in Congress. We will be right in the heart of DC!
