Whaf I'm doing is getting 8 critically acclaimed directors and doing a tournament of their eight best films and doing the next round every 24 hours. At the end the winnin films of each tournament computer against each other.
Lat tournament was Tarantion in whicth pulp fiction won.
Now let's begin with round 1 of Polanski best film
The Pianist vs Oliver Twist
Repulsion vs Chinatown
Rosemary's Baby vs Tess
Carnage vs The fearless Vampire Killers

I've only seen Chinatown and Rosemary's Baby (love them both), but hopefully they'll get matched up at some point.

I guess that would be me, I don't look at just my opinion. Look at RT score and other lists
What?! No Repulsion and Knife In The Water?
Or more important to me, no Tess, The Ghost Writer, Death and the Maiden, Bitter Moon, Frantic and The Ninth Gate. Later, Gator.

And Oliver Twist is really one of his 8 "best"? I haven't seen it, but I practically never hear that movie talked about. Plus if you're going by Rotten Tomatoes it's only at 60% whereas Death and the Maiden is at 84%. I didn't even bother to look up the others.
