Well, lately, I've been posting threads, asking of your favourite song by a specific artist. So far, it's been The Talking Heads, Queen and AC/DC. And now Meat Loaf.
I love the guy's music, specifically tracks of Bat Out Of Hell. So, if you like his music, share your favourite song.

You Took The Words Right Of The Mouth is my current favourite, even though it doesn't feel as "complete" as his other songs, if that makes sense. But for a while, Paradise By The Dashboard Light was one of my most played songs on my iPod.

HEHEHEHEH! One of my proudest concerts is seeing him! My favorite's always been I'd Do Anything for Love. Always. In fact, it's even my favorite song of all time.

I'm not a fan of Meat Loaf, but I have to admit that I've been to several parties where everyone singing along with the song "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" was the highlight of the party.

he wasn't famous then.
he wasn't famous then.I saw him even earlier, in late 1973 when I was 14 years old. My dad knew someone who knew someone who had something to do with the musical (see below) and recommended it. Meatloaf certainly stood out with his powerful voice.

I never heard of Meatloaf until Bat Out Of Hell in 1977/78. He seemed to come out of nowhere.

The lyricist and songwriter, Jim Steinman, was laughed at when he said it would sell 10 million.
It's at 40 million.
