yep they are the Beatles of hard rock.

That's debatable, at least the Beatles got noticeably more experimental over the course of their career, whereas AC/DC have churned out the same stuff for over 30 years and the only noticeable difference is that they changed vocalists at least once.

Does anyone else think that The Razor's Edge is a very underrated album? It's not as good as Back In Black, Highway To Hell or High Voltage, but it's got some iconic songs from the band, such as Thunderstruck and Moneytalks, and some lesser known, but equally good tracks, like Are You Ready and the title track. I find myself listening to this quite often.

You've got to love how a band whose lead singer died because of alcohol poisoning has recently decided to endorse a line of alcoholic products.

that is factually incorrect. Bon did not succumb to alcohol poisoning.

Yeah, probably. Still choked on his own vomit after a night of hard drinking, so yeah.

Every single band/musician I've ever heard has music that all sounds the same. What's your point? It's the bands that just sound like other bands that suck. Nickleback sounds like every other Alternative/New rock band that's come since Pearl Jam released their first song. That is bad. But having a distinct sound to all of a bands individual songs is not a bad thing.

Besides, WTF are you doing in this thread if that's all you want to say? I'm going to start calling people on their bulls*** when they come into a thread just to post about how they don't like the subject of the thread. This isn't an open review thread, it's a thread for people who like AC/DC...you know, the highest selling band in the US of all time. Even over The Beatles and Michael Jackson.

Here read this link, and then piss off (http://www.pajiba.com/think_pieces/an-open-letter-to-people-who-hate-things-that-others-enjoy.php). I'm in a bad mood.

Nothing, just figured I'd point out the irony.

I'm not sure how many bands you've heard that make you think that every band "sounds the same" no matter what, but I did cite the Beatles as a counter-example as they did evolve from a by-the-numbers Sixties boy band to making some of the most revolutionary pop music in history (compare the difference between "Love Me Do" and "Tomorrow Never Knows", for instance). Besides, every band takes influence from other bands and musicians anyway - Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones borrowed from the blues, Bob Dylan from Woody Guthrie, etc. It's only a question of whether or not they do anything worthwhile with that matters.

Anyway, I might as well justify my presence in this thread by stating that "Let There Be Rock" is probably my favourite AC/DC song.
