Occasionally when I click on my favourites list to come visit the site, I get a blank screen that flags up with Website Scripting Error and says it has informed the MoFO mods etc. It lasts for about 10 minutes or so (during which time I can't get onto the site no matter how much I try).
Also, a few minutes ago, I replied on a thread called Need Help With Mom Movies and when I hit 'post', it flagged up that I had attached a poll to my post.
Maybe that was my fault, but I can't see how as I had replied using the Quick Reply box rather than the Advanced Reply.
Just though I'd post something up to let the MoFo Head Honchos out there know.
Thanks. I'm not familiar with that first error, though; does it literally say "Website Scripting Error"? Anything else about the page you can recall?

Yes mate.
Just a white screen, the writing/warning at the top left (similar to the Windows page when you try to log onto the internet without actually connecting first).
It's defo not a Windows page though.
It's done it about four times over the past few weeks.
Could you perhaps take a screenshot next time? Don't think I've ever seen it.

Will do if it comes up mate.
Thanks man. :) I appreciate that.

Happened again matey.
Managed to get a screenshot this time. Not a great pic as I had to print then scan as my Print Screen isn't working with Photo-editor for some reason.

Oh, that. We all get that from time to time. That happens on this forum not infrequently.

^ Yep, happened to me about an hour ago, happens now and then. The Rodent, you are not alone. :p
I literally said "Oh that," same as will. Yeah, sadly that's regular. If anything I'm pleased you've gotten it as rarely as you have. That shows up anytime we get too a flood of traffic or a faulty script. Usually corrects itself quickly.
So yeah, no worries, that's standard as far as errors go. But apologies for the inconvenience.

I won't stand for it.
Of course not. Because you'll take it lying down.
Oh, snap!

It's a server maintenance thing apparently.
Do you get it between 9am and 10am? At 9am in Britain it's midnight where the server is based... Yods has mentioned midnight maintenance being the main factor.
I did notice an impromptu crash around 11:30am but it was only for about 3 seconds.

If you can, note the times it happens... hopefully it'll give Yoda more of an idea, though he probably knows anyway, what exactly is happening and when, why etc.
Sorry guys. Posts have been up a lot lately. We're looking at ways to handle it; we might be moving to a new server this year to go with the new design.

When the Chinese buy this place, we can all expect this sort of thing on the regular even more so.

Well Yoda, if it helps any, today it went down in the UK (for me anyways) at 11:18am and was down for about 35mins or so.

This has been happening to me a handful of times over the past few weeks. Just odd days. Is there anything wrong with the site ? I'm quite concerned.

Yeah it's an on-going problem with the server. Yoda is looking into a new server to solve it.
Yeah, I know it sucks, but we're on it. We're getting a new server, it's just going to take a bit more time to pick the right one and move everything over.

-1. This place needs more problems!!!
When things are going too well, people get restless. I'll have to create another alias to argue with for awhile to mix things up.

Gosh, I saw the latest post on this thread listed on the home page as only four minutes old, and I got a little nervous that something bad had happened overnight.
HA HA HA! Archive this thing!

Don't know where to put this but when I try and view the last page in "Let's give the moderators a round of applause" Thread my browser gives me this alert.
I got that too. This time I went ahead and viewed it safely... no problems that I can tell.

Sometimes, ever since the new server came in, I've had it where it won't let me in because it says something is unsecured. Closing and reopening the browser makes that go away.
9 times out of 10 when you get that message it's because somebody embedded an image from an unsafe domain. I'll have a look at the page in question, but in this case if it was there and then gone it might've just been temporarily, erroneously flagged.
Yep, that's what it was. Usually one of the remotely-linked smilies people used. All better now.
