Oh my gosh I cant wait! Im particularly jazzed about this upcoming season because the Tampa Bay Rays (my team) have gone from a $40 million dollar roster to a $60 million, and spent smart. Luke Scott, Pena again, Keppinger, Jose Molina who has a steady bat & is an expert behind the plate where we were weak (surprising for a strong defensive ballclub), and new short stop Tim Beckham who was ranked 13th overall in Minor League Baseball. For comparisons sake Matt Moore was ranked 8th before being sent up.

Our pitching is as good as any teams, and that includes the Phillies. Our defense last year was second-to-none and I see no reason we'll slack off in that area. If we can hit too?! Oh hell yeah the Rays are looking going into the season as a holeless roster, but who knows what the season will bring.

If spring training is any indicator then they sure are. The Rays are dead last in all of baseball in runs scored this spring  I could spit, but moreso the winds kinda took out of me. Was truly expecting the wise moves they made in the offseason would gain immediate results in the bats. What a difference a month makes.

Today is the first day of the regular season for the Tampa bay Rays, and I guess some ballclub called the Yankees. Do we have the stuff?! Well we better because we have the hardest regular season start in alll of baseball. Yankess, Tigers, BoSox, then go to Toronto, play Minnesotta which is no biggie, then we meet the Rangers and Angels!

Must admit though when growing up, when there wasnt a franchise in florida, I was a Yankees fan. Though my favorite player was/is Pete Rose.

Shields vs Sabathia..........
