Honestly, I'm going to read the whole paper later, but I'm listening to The French Connection and don't want to multi-task too much. Just thinking about the video is enough.

I think what's missing here is context. A public high school teacher (not me) might find this inappropriate, especially if they fear of losing their job when some "scandal" arises. Is this for high school, community college or a university? It does display good writing skills and understanding of filmmaking techniques and history. Did I miss it in my scan of the paper? I did not notice a reference to Pink Flamingos. I think it's worth a passing grade, whatever level, but I wouldn't use it as some kind of prompt or class discussion topic from high school on down. HA!
