Splice

I watched Splice not much more than an hour ago.. and.. It was not at ALL what I expected. Oh, the special effects? Good. The actors/actresses? Good. But, HOLY ****! That.. It was weird. That's all I can say.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks so... Somebody give me their own opinions on the film.

It's not exactly the monster movie one would expect and that last act, the film changes gears in a weird way. I dug it, but wouldn't rave about it.

Yeah, I didn't think too much of Splice. It kind of looked ridiculous but I adore Sarah Polley so I gave it a try. Had it gone in a different direction it might have been alright, but I just found it silly. A waste of two good actors really.

It was a decent film, but the whole.. alien/human sex thing? That kind of ended it for me.

I saw it in theaters the day it came out, I think. I'd been looking forward to it for some time, and failed to be disappointed. Could have been a bit darker, but a satisfying movie when all is said and done.
