FAST FIVE
Dominic and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent.

Review:

In basic words one hell of a thrill ride!! This part of the series sets itself apart from every other Fast & Furious movie. All the other Fast movies are child's play compared to this new and updated action packed flick. Lets call this the Oceans Eleven of action movies, but with muscles, testosterone, fast cars, women, and some of the best actions scenes in a motion picture in a while.

This version brings back the best of the best from the past fast & furious. Along for the ride is none other than The Rock. Director Justin Lin does an excellent job with this movie, foot chases, car chases, gun fights, and a great cast makes this movie a blue print of what action movies are supposed to be. I have read some critics again complaining about everything from the movies dialogue, that it has bad acting, (who cares ). With a movie like this, true action fans will care nothing about bad acting, when there is a chase scene like the movies ending scene none of that actually matters.

The chemistry between Vin Diesel, The Rock, and Paul Walker was great. The fight scene between Diesel and Rock was something people have probably been waiting for ever since dreaming of a fight between Stallone & Schwarzenegger ( in there prime of course). The movie promised action and it delivers Fast & very Furious, it doesn't come as a surprise that F/F beat out Thor at the box office in Australia. Hopefully this is a sign af good things to come for summer releases, but F/F has set the standards very high.

If Thor doesn't deliver the goods, Thor's Hammer will fall victim to Diesel & Rock. (Make sure you stick around after the credits for a bit of a pleasant surprise you wont want to miss.)

Neat to watch' summarizes the film quite nicely. The revenge subplot that drives Fast and Furious is uninteresting since we haven't seen these characters in eight years.

Fast Five is a true guilty pleasure. It's one of those movies that is a generic, uninteresting movie on paper but when translated to the big screen it becomes a terribly fun action flick that should not be taken too seriously. It's a perfect example of escapist cinema, if you're one of those people that just wants to go see a movie to have a good time this is worth your hard earned cash.

Fast Five is of course the fifth entry in the Fast And The Furious series but it's only loosely connected to the previous films.Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are back as Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Connor respectively and some of the minor characters are back from the previous entries but the plot stands on its own for the most part. The plot is simple: After a failed attempt to bust out a number of cars out of a moving train (who would have thought?) Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Connor are forced to flee the country and eventually decide to pull off one last stunt by robbing one of the most powerful criminals in Rio De Janeiro.

Paul Walker and Vin Diesel both do a serviceable job and the rest of the cast occasionally get a laugh, or two but the real star of the show is the action. What makes Fast Five so enjoyable to watch is its ridiculous and over the top action. Fast cars are cool, high speed racing is entertaining, car chases are exciting, but what we really want to see is a vault ripped off its hinges by two high-powered cars and used to take out an entire police force! This is an actual scene in the movie, and clearly realism was not taken into consideration, but it's scenes like that which will put a smile on your face. There is only about a handful of these scenes in the movie but they are what make the movie so much fun to watch and superior to any other Fast And The Furious movie to date.

In addition to the races and scantily clad women Fast Five is bursting at the seems with testosterone, which can be contributed largely to Vin and The Rock. Their loud, in your face acting style may not be everyone's cup of tea but if you're considering watching Fast Five I'm guessing it is. The eventual confrontation between the two is surprisingly satisfying albeit predictable.

Fast Five certainly doesn't reinvent the wheel and if you look at it critically it's clear that it has an abundance of flaws. The plot is predictable to say the least, the dialogue is pretty poor, there is no noteworthy character development and most of the characters besides the two protagonists serve very little purpose. But if you go see this with an open mind and don't take it too seriously I guarantee you will have a good time with Fast Five, I definitely did.
