Nothing to hand but my uncle might have something - He's the family historian and an Everton fan. ;)

All I can find of Bill online are some details of matches where he scored for Wigan Athletic in the '30s. I'd say he got fed up of being an Everton reserve and moved down the road for some first team action. ;)
