The forum is still comprised primarily of movie-related topics. The Intermission: Miscellaneous Chat forum has and always will be highly popular, though. It doesn't really worry me. I'm certainly not going to deny anyone the right to post there.

Yes, even with grammatical correction being included as somehow "derogatory", I'll bet you money I go much more than 24-hours without such a comment the majority of the time on the board, which as you've noted before is much more than anybody else's, even yours.

But as a general comment not to be taken literally, I'm sure it feels right to you anyway, as I'm such a bully and all.

Besides, I don't recall a post from Sir Holden over the last couple of days, so it is safe to say that he CAN go longer than 24 hours.

Anyway, isn't it funny that a thread saything there is too much miscellaneous chat does, itself, become a victim of such threads that are being asked to move away from.

I know this next comment I'm about to make will probably make some people angry, but I think this place would suffer greatly if Holden wasn't here. I've been the butt of his jokes more than once and it never fails to make me laugh. One time, I spelled "angel", "angle" and Holden made some joke about it...I forgot how it went, but I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt (the cheeks on my face :p )

I don't want Pike to leave. I just wish he'd be nicer to some of the new folks around here (and some of the regulars). I never have, and never will, understand why he looks so disdainfully on others. That's his deal, though. I'm glad he's here in spite of it, though, and not because of it.

He just does some things that we think about, but would never do. Ya know? Maybe it's his age (he's got a few years on me and i'm 26) that makes him feel like correcting us, or maybe it's all those f*ckin' movies he's watched...
but he wants to be a little set apart from the rest of us. It's not a crime and I don't think people should take it so seriously. Just dish it back if you wanna, he can take it and more than likely, dish it right back, again.

I never hesitate to fling some his way...and I'm never surprised or upset when there's an attempt to fling it back. I think it's more important to consider others, though...and how they'll feel not realizing what's going on. Holden doesn't bother me, because I know what he's like. Others won't know that.

As for being set apart: being set apart is all well and good. We're all unique in some way. I just don't dig it if you set yourself apart by demeaning others. :nope:

well Raz man, you have to relax i slowly learnt that when i first joined up. I rushed into everything and i found that i too was not popular, but if you take it easy and just say something and leave it at that you might be respected more. I on the other hand am still not very popular :smile: but people now do talk to me more and listen to what i have to say, some even respect my opinions and others just like to argue the point. Take nothing said here personally. Me and bullet for example fight all the time, he hates me, but after just because we fight and he doesnt like me doesnt mean that we dont have any respect for each other...actually in this case it probably does. What im trying to say is, you can be involved but you dont have to be so involved to be noted, just your presence in mofo land is enough.
