The Goodbye Thread

I searched and searched but I couldn't find a thread on this topic other than The Be Back Later Thread.

As you might have read, I am leaving to join the Navy. I'll be in Basic Training for 9 weeks (don't know where at), and after that I will begin training to be a Seaman's Apprentice in the Electronics Technician field (working on radar, air traffic control equipment, etc.,).

I have no idea where this is going to take me, I want to make every attempt possible to make visits back to see you all. Chris, Sadie, and Silver...I want to make an attempt to actually visit you guys in real life.

While I'm not leaving until July 9th (maybe a day or two earlier depending on when I have to be up there), I already am pretty bummed that I'm going to have to leave my second home.

Like I said, I'm still gonna be here for a good 22 days until I have to leave, so I'm not gone yet. Cheer up. :D

Aw. I'm gonna miss you when you go! I'm happy for you, Kently. All the times you and I have chatted on Yahoo, I got the feeling that you would do so much better if you just ventured out past your own town, ya know? You're gonna be a great, little Seaman...Private Potato. :D

Kently knows how I feel about all this...so I won't go into detail. Suffice to say that it's a damn shame he's leaving, but I can't fault him for it, and I for one will most certainly be here waiting for him if and when he gets back.

While I have loved this place to death, and I will never have a site that ranks up there with this one, I will always make every attempt to come back and see this place one more time.

For all you other MoFo's, stay cool, cherish the site and the man that brought it to you. It's been on the air for two years now, and I was happy to be apart of one year of that time frame. I can't see how I managed to get by in life before this site, you guys have been incredible with being here talking about what's going on and whatnot.
