:( Seems like only yesterday I had registered here from clicking on Yoda's signature on the SitePoint Forums.

This place has changed quite a bit, but that's what keeps us coming back.

Yikes:eek: this site has had a bit of a facelift, the way it is now is the only way i have been familier of MoFo, i just cant picture it any different. Your a smart person Chris to get it up to this standard at all, let alone from what you had!

Well, I can't take credit for most of the design you see now. The visual praise goes primarily to Jackie McGhee, an amazingly talented designer. Give his site a look if you have time, he's got an interesting blog up, and he's the creator of my all-time favorite Winamp skin: Broken Voice (http://www.brokenvoice.org).

You're so smart Chris. Kiss, kiss, suck.

Just kidding.
I remember, I think, being a member when one of those designs was still around.

Wowzers.

Mmmhmm. The last one on there, I think. You signed up around a month before "Project MoFo" became a reality.

I absolutely hate this. It's taking me forever to just get to one thread - but the worst problem of all is that I cannot login using my AOL browser now - I have to use IE. It also looks like too much now and there's more pop-up ads, I'm noticing. :furious:

Hmm… I don’t have any pop-ups at all… it is a little slow loading but I think we all just have to be patient for a few days until Yoda gets all the bugs worked out…

Looks like some of the other forums I belong too. The only thing I miss so far is the view new posts option.

Look at the top of the page on the right... if I remember right, one of those arrows takes you to new posts...

Yep. The second one from the left. I'll make it all more user-friendly as time goes on. I'll probably work on it a lot tonight. Sorry for any problems you guys run into...if anyone's having problems with the load time, however, it's probably a coincidence.

As for popups: as far as I know, no change has been made to the ad-serving system whatsoever.

My list of problems with Uber-MoFo:

1. Cannot use it on AOL 6.0's browser (cannot login, ever)
2. Have to use I.E. 5 browser, but does not stay cookied. Have to keep
logging in every time I open I.E.
3. All of the text on the grey background is white.
4. I dunno what the pop-ad thing is set to, but I get a new one every
page that loads, almost.

The pop-ad thing I had before, but 1, 2, and 3 are new and very, very frustrating. Cait says she sees black text, not white.

Hopefully this will all be fixed... or ... less of me.

Well, sweet, sugar kisses..... I found a second cookie in my cookie cache and I deleted it, and viola, I can log on using AOL's browser. I thought it was something to do with the cookies. Bad cookies... woulda given Cookie Monster cramps. Now all I gotta do is figure out how to change this white text to black and then there's harmony in the world.

Yoda...the new upgrades look great...but...

I was wondering if the type was going to remain white against a light grey background? On my computer it's very hard to read.

Yoda

I've no idea what ya'll are looking at...the text is quite black for me. I wouldn't be stupid enough to make it white. :) Could one of you perhaps save the source code from one of the pages with this problem and email it to me?

Yoda...what do you mean by source code?

It doesn't matter now (Jason's already sent it to me), but for future reference you can access a webpage's source code by loading it, selecting "View" from the toolbar, and then "Source." Or you can merely right-click on most areas of the page and select "View Source." A text file should open (unless your cache is full, or something of the sort) containing the code that makes up that particular page.

My guess is that you and Annie need to download IE 6.
