ime gonna start posting some reviews on movies that ive watched, i aint gonna go crazy with them just some mini reviews ill call them haha.

When i first heard about tekken being made into a movie i was really excited as a fan of the game, Then the more i seen and heard of the movie the more i was thinking oh no, so seeing it i wasnt expecting much.

The Movie starts with young lad Jin( tho i would never of guesed ) watching his mother getting murdered by Heihachi the creator of tekken city and the tekken tournament. Jin then fights his way into the tekken tournament so he can avenge his mothers death.

First the acting is really bad, then the story is even worse. Watching this i couldnt tell who the characters where supposed to be till i was told, they leave alot of the characters out of the movie witch i loved in the game :mad: and the movie doesnt even feel like tekken (game).

But Apart from the cheap feeling of the movie, the bad acting, bad story i couldnt turn it off, its a fun movie to watch alot of crazy, stupid fighting and some hot girls what more do you want.

THE EXPENDABLES




This movie is about a group of mercenaries who take a job from (Willis) CIA to bring down a american dictator. When sandra gets involved (Gisele Itié) and gets held hostage things really start to happen.

Ok I told my self that i wernt going to see this movie because of how many bad reviews i had read, But ime glad i did i really enjoyed the movie, Ok not the best acting or the best story but i think its enough to hold the movie together.

Statham i am a fan off i think he did a good job in his role, Stallone and the rest did ok. If you like big explosions, Big guns, Big fight scenes, And big stars this movie is for you, theres always alot going on and some good one liners that got a few giggles from me:) . Ok not the best action movie out there but it is worth watching.

Read in another topic stallone is thinking of doing a sequel, well i hope so id like to this all over again.

Seeing the trailer to this movie i thought this is my kind of movie, not many good comedies out this year so i was really looking forward to this. The cast line up looked solid for a movie like this and as a fan of most of the cast i had high hopes.

The movie opens with the funeral about to get started of Aarons (Chris Rock) farther,When the guests arrive we start to meet the rest of the family then things really start going wrong, from people high of drugs, keeping guests hostage and seeing Aarons brother Ryan (Martin Lawrence) trying to get of with girls this film had me laughing at some akward situations especially Oscar (James Marsden) high of taking tablets before the funeral,that should have anyone laughing.

From start to finish this movie had me laughing the best comedy since the hangover in my opion, the cast do solid performances especially from Danny Glover who plays Uncle Russel alot of funny scenes from him. So if you havnt seen this and you like these kind of comedies its a must see.

Salt is a film about Evelyn Salt (Angeline Jolie) who is a CIA agent. Salt does a interrogation on a russian defector who tells a story of russian spys being trained from baby's and brought to america. He then tell's salt that she is a spy and her mission is to kill the russian president.

Well from the start this movie seem's abit silly, the story isnt strong but it was enough to keep me watching. Angelina Jolie done a good job with her role and its good to see a big action film with the lead role being a woman. Tom Cruise was originaly secured for the role but then the script was re-written for Jolie witch i think was a good move.

From the start this movie is fast paced, alot going on so you dont even care if the story is stupid. There's alot of cool chases weather on foot or car they keep you excited. So ok its not the best movie out there and for some reason it reminded me of Eagle eye, think that's because that also was a movie with a weak story but it kept me watching.

Well after watching this i thought it's pretty average movie worth watching if your a fan of Jolie, or a fan of your action movies just check it out.

Going in to see this i was looking forward to seeing what Adam Sandler has brought us now, well the answer there is a awful film. As a fan of all his earlier movies its just seem's each film he is in is getting worse and worse apart from Funny People that i enjoyed.

Well anyway the movie is about a group of friends who all get back together at the funeral of there high school basket ball coach. After the funeral the group and there wives and children spend the weekend together at a house that Lenny (Adam Sandler) has rented. The weekend is then all about the family's having fun ( really after a funeral), there is so many bad jokes over the weekend its just shameful. Chris Rock i can't even remember in this film, and Sandler i think is at his worst then throw in the other cast and its a disaster.

Ok we can't just blame Sandler for this but with the amount of crap he has been in recentley i feel we have to.

PREDATORS

Predator is one of my favourite movies ever, as most of you know its in my top ten movies so hearing the news this was coming out i was pretty excited. Adrien brody playing the lead role i wasnt sure of after all i just couldn't see him playing a badass.

So ok this movie wasn't all bad, alot better than Predator 2 and AVP movies but i just felt there was something missing. The story (what story) i felt was a little stupid, they should of just stuck with earth also the cheesy one liners that are thrown at us where a little to much (cringy) . The ending i also had a problem with, Predator the thing that in the other movies rip's the skulls out of people's heads and blows people to pieces ends up helping the humans, why that happened i'll never know.

The good thing what i thought was going to let this movie down was Adrien Brody, After watching this for a second time i thought he actually did a good job tho he can't pull the badass off. So ok if you like the Predator this is still alot better the the recent attemp's to kick start the franchise but still does't compare to the Original, still worth watching if your a fan tho.

I have high regard for the first 2 Predator movies... They are both unique & try not to compete with each other... They both have good plots & setting... & both the leads were good. Even Glover didn't disappoint in his role.

Regarding this movie, Adrien Brody wasn't disappointing at all.. he was the only thing good about the movie.. The rest of the characters were pointless & made it look like a Slasher film...
The Predators were designed well, especially better than the AvP ones.

Initially, I was excited to see the Predators set in a jungle once again... but was only left disappointed.
Maybe that's why I consider the original 2 as far superior, They both pay attention to the Hunter aspect of the Predator character.. This movie only makes them look like Horror movie slashers.

I think 1 Predator is enough to make a decent feature film,

THE KARATE KID

Growing up as a kid the original Katate Kid was one of my favourite movies so hearing of a remake wasn't a bad thing. The movie starring jackie Chan and Jaden Smith is about a young boy who moves to china with his mum only to arrive there and start getting bullied, Mr Han ( Jackie Chan) then learns Dre (Smith) Karate and self defence.

The movie i thort wasn't even close to the original,in terms of the feel good factor you get from the old movie also Dre just came across like a snotty little brat to me, i actually wanted him to get his ass kicked :). I actualy didnt like this movie at all its running time was to long and at time's the movie got really boring. A thing missing from this movie i thort was dre actually learning karate, we didnt really see much apart from him hanging his jacket up over and over again how much karate can you learn from that haha.

The bad thing about all these remake's we keep getting is we will always compare them to the original and none of them seem to come close this being one of them, Ok not the worst remake out there but it comes close.

Well 2010 has been a really dissapointing year for movies i think most of the big blockbusters just failed and not much to really remember. Kick-ass tho came as shock of the year to me i went to see this thinking it was going to be like a teen superhero spoof, well was i shocked.

The movie is about Dave (Aaron Johnson) who sets out to become a real life superhero called kick-ass, then reality hits and dave realises it isn't what it seems, so along comes Big daddy and hit-girl two more superhero's only these two are the real deal.

Well where to start with this movie, first this movie has alot going on really well put together alot of funny scenes and alot of gory scenes, Hit-girl, well where to really start with her she's a 11 year old girl who just walks around killing people, swearing and all kinds of stuff witch kind of brought this movie controversy, i thought my self her character was great she had me laughing at times and other times i was thinking wow lol. Nicolas Cage's character (Big Daddy) was also a great character, great scene with him burning and his daugher trying to save him (Tingles).

So if you havnt seen this movie because you thought it wern't really for you check it out you will probably be shocked as i was.

IRON MAN 2

In 2008 we seen the first Iron Man movie and what a breath of fresh air it was, Robert Downey Junior done a fantstic job playing Tony Stark so a second movie i thought couldnt go wrong.

Iron man 2 with a all star cast and i bigger budget just couldn't do what the first Iron Man movie brought us. Tony Stark just seemed to lose that coolness and cockyness he had in the first movie what we all loved and enjoyed, also at times this movie just seemed so boring and to long, it all just builds up to a end fight scene that if you went the toilet you would miss. Big stars are also just wasted in this movie Mickey Rourke being one of them, also there is some really bad moments in this movie like seeing iron man drunk. Ok it isnt all bad there is some good scenes especially Whiplash turning up at the F1 race and just slicing cars in half, but it just doesn't compare to the first installment of Iron Man and i was really hoping it could off.

Well just got back for watching this latest release Takers. Takers is about a gang of of professional bank robbers (well they call them self's takers) who decide to take on a big job from one of there former gang members only to have a detective on there case (Matt Dillon).

Well first i enjoyed this movie alot it has a good cast line up including Chris Brown and T.i as we all know as rappers, they actually did a ok job with there roles, Paul Walker and Matt Dillon also do a good job. This Movie is really fast paced always alot going on, ok it does try a little to hard to be slick and stylish with these bank robbers all walking around in suits with flash cars all movie (why the the police have never been aware before they take this job what they do i dunno haha) but the movie is fun its a good little heist movie you should check it out.

KNIGHT AND DAY

Well knight and day is a movie starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise plays a Rogue spy (Roy Miller) who meets June Havens (Diaz) who is a car restorer (they meet in the airport), then she basically gets involved in what trouble he is in. The movie is described as a comedy action, does the comedy last tho ?????????????.

Well the first half hour of this movie i enjoyed, Cruise and Diaz performances had me laughing they just seemed to bounce of each other and the action scenes where pretty good. Then half way through the movie i dont know what happened but all of a sudden the pair of them just became annoying and the comedy just dryed up, Diaz just became abit of a wierdo and it was cruise who came across annoying. Ok the action stays with the movie till then end, but to me and i don't know why i felt like this, but i felt someone wrote the first half of the movie, and then someone else just came along and wrote the rest.

SHUTTER ISLAND

Well shutter island is a movie directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Leonardo DiCaprio. Well Scorsese and DiCaprio have worked together alot of times before and i have never been disapointed, so this i thought couldn't go wrong.

First of there is a lot of positive thing's to say about this movie its described as a psychological thriller but to me this felt like a horror movie haha. Scorsese does realy well with the setting of this movie, you get a realy creepy, scary, chilling feel from the movie and he captured that better than any horror movie has in a long while. Leonardo DiCaprio does another great performence and the movie you can't really fault, apart from one thing and it turns out to be a big thing (the ending), you can guese whats going to happen within 40 minutes so with a running time of nearly 2 hours and 30 mins the movie seems realy dragged out.

If your a fan of scorsese you should check this out it's still something that is definitely worth the watch, its also one of them movie's i feel you will only enjoy the once.

PIRANHA 3D

Well 2010 has been the worst year for remakes i can think of, Piranha 3d however sucks more than any of the others. PiRANHA 3D is a 3D horror film about a species of Piranha fish that we all thort were extinct come back when a earthquake hits a small fishing lake and rips a hole in the ground (Well something like that) the fish start to emerge.

Well the movie is described as a horror, the 1978 original was described as a comedy horror so i was supposed to take this new movie serious (WoW). The cast did a bad job, the acting was really bad i felt like i was watching a soap, the movies cheap feel doesnt help either. Well Piranha 3d was no doubt aimed at a teen audience, so if you are not a teen don't go see this, and if you are a teen don't go see this because even tho kelly brook is on the screen it really doesn't matter. 3D on the end of Piranha made this movie seem a little bit more appealing, don't let that fool you the 3d in this movie is the worst ive seen (as i said before cheap feeling).

I really hope they don't make a sequel to this because the end i feel sets up one, i couldn't be bothered watching another one of these, one was enough. If you was going to go to the cinema to watch this i wouldn't you will be better just going and buying the original and having a night in.

INCEPTION

Well inception is a movie directed by Christopher Nolan and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, the movie is about a guy called Dom Cobb, Dom Cobb is able to use his unique skills to his advantage - he can enter people's minds through their dreams and thereby learn their secrets. He is a thief for hire but Japanese businessman Mr. Saito has a somewhat different proposition for him. He wants Cobb to enter the mind of Robert Fischer Jr., who is about to inherit his father's massive business empire, to plant a simple notion: to break-up his father's conglomerate and sell it off. In return, Saito will make it possible for Cobb to freely return to the US where he is currently wanted by the police. Cobb accepts and assembles his team with a plan to plant the idea deep in Fisher's mind by generating a series of dreams within dreams so that he eventually thinks he came up with the idea himself. As the intended deception grows ever more complex, Cobb has to deal with his own emotions and feelings of guilt, which are projecting themselves into the dreamspace. Cobb has to deal with the eventual question of what is real and what is only a dream.

Well Inception the first time i seen it was a great movie but after watching it again a few nights ago i found it even better. Christopher Nolan did a fantastic job with this movie, i think its his best work yet with a list of movies behind him including, The Dark Knight, The Prestige and Momento All films i loved, Inception just seemed to blow them all away, The movie has you on edge of your seat at all times.

The Cast of the movie and especialy Leonardo DiCaprio did yet again a fantastic performance he's great throughout the movie, also Joseph Gordon Levitt was great, the whole cast did a fantastic job, Also glad Christopher Nolan has signed Tom Hardy for the next Batman that should be interesting he did really well in Inception aswell.
Well from start to finish this movie just grips you and takes you along for a ride its really fast paced always alot going on i didnt get bored or restless the twice ive saw this. If you havnt seen this yet you really must check it out this makes my top ten movies hands down and its the best movie thats been out in a long time..

(Plot)

Phil and Claire Foster are a couple who have been married for several years. Their days consists of them taking care of their children and going to work and coming home and going to bed. But they find time to have a date night where in they go out and spend some time together. When another couple they know announce that they're separating because they're in a rut, Phil feels that he and Claire could be too. So when date night comes Phil decides to do something different. So they go into the city and try to get into a new popular restaurant. But when it's full and still wanting to do this, Phil decides to take the reservation of a couple who doesn't show up. While they're having dinner two men approach them and instructs them to stand up and go with them. They think the men are with the restaurant and want to talk to them about taking someone else's reservation. But it appears the couple whose reservation they took crossed someone and the two men work for this person.

Now where to start, After watching the trailer to this movie a while back i was thinking to my self i won't be going to the pic's to watch this it just didnt look that apealing to me, but after sitting at home last night bored i thort i'd give it ago. This movie was great plenty of laugh's through out the movie and steve carell is great. Ive only ever seen Steve Carell in the 40 Year Old Virgin and loved that movie he was great in that so after watching Date night ime starting to become a fan. Mark Wahlberg makes a couple appearances through the movie always without a top, that gets a good few laugh's especialy when phils ( Steve Carell) wife claire foster cant stop drooling and staring at him. Also there is a funny scene when they steal Wahlberg's super car and smash it into a taxi, i wont ruin it but its a funny scene.

Well the movie is a great little comedy as a said before there is alot of laughs, the acting and story goes down really well, and the movie flows really nice. If you havnt seen this yet its worth checking out funniest movie ive seen in the past couple of monthes.

As the global economy teeters on the brink of disaster, a young Wall Street trader partners with disgraced former Wall Street corporate raider Gordon Gekko on a two-tiered mission: To alert the financial community to the coming doom, and to find out who was responsible for the death of the young trader's mentor.

Well ime a fan of Michael Douglas and ime a fan of Shia Labeouf but i was not a fan of this movie. I went to this movie without ever watching the original Wall Street but i don't think that mattered as i got the idea of what happened in that film . Well the movies runnig time was a big problem here its over 2 hours long, and when you know how its gonna turn out half way through the movie its sort off drags. The Acting is something i couldnt really fault the cast all did well especialy Michael Douglas , but the movie is just so weak. The first movie seemed very popular by movie reviews so i may chek that out but i still feel it wont change my opinion on its sequel.

Ok the movie isnt the worst out there, but there are better things to see and spend your money on at the cinema. If you where thinking of going to see this prob's best waiting for the dvd release catch it then.
