Hey everyone! I was searching for a new forum to post on and I came across this one! So far it seems really great and I have had some very intellectual discussions (sorta) I needed to find a new forum, one with ppl that don't discuss about celebrities' flat feet. I mean there was a 10 page long thread about some guy having flat feet. Well, hopefully I'll have a better time here....

Well, we don't talk about flat feet, but we have one user that talks about Julia Roberts. :D
Welcome aboard and you should like it here, we do. :D

Oh really? My former next door neighbor's cousin is getting married to Julia Roberts. My former next door neighbor's best friend showed me a home video of Julia Roberts. I know it gets a little confusing. I myself might talk about Ewan McGregor (and numerous other ppl) a lot....
P.S. How come the forum won't let me Edit My Favorite Movies? It says I need to log on first. Help!

I don't think Chris has fixed that yet.
You might check with him on that.

I'm sorry. :p
Welcome to the site, Meg...we desperately need more friendly, intelligent women around here. All the females who hang around here with any regularity are both, of course, but there are FAR too many of them. And I mean that in a completely respectful way. :)
I hope you stick around.

How do you know it's a girl? It could be a guy for all you know. :D
Well, username aside, call it a hunch. ;)

Yeah, I went and looked at her email too...:rotfl:
Actually I don't think I saw her email...if I did I don't remember it. Just...writing style. It's not too hard to pick up on...except in rare cases. Ah well. Sorry to take over your thread, Meg. :goof:

Hmmm...
False advertising I guess cause I didn't pick up on it. :D Anywho, back to the topic at hand, ah yes...newbie...
I promise I won't do the "fresh meat" thing...:D :D :D

Yes, I am a girl for all those who have been wondering. I think Meg pretty much gives it away.

Well we have Val...and he's...well we're not too sure what he is..
I'm kidding of course
This is Meg, the one and the same. I just decided it was time for a new handle. I wasn't ready to unleash Ozma on to the internet world yet. I think meglvsewan was too limiting, b/c then I would be expected to talk about him all the time. I hope that changing my name or getting a new account didn't create any problems, but meglvsewan wasn't around long enough to make a difference anyways :)
Ya' know, you could've talked to Spud or myself and we could've changed your username for you in about 30 seconds. :D

This is one of those things you don't want to advertise or everyone is asking for it, and you can't say nothing or you get a lot of people re-registering on account of the fact they wanted a new username.
you know i get what ya mean spudly but if ppl want a new username they are just going to create a new account and the other account they used will just take up wasted space, but than again its up to you guys if you want to change it for them, maybe one day chris will create a form that does it for him, no pressure guys because im happy as knightmare, come to think of it i dont know what im even talking about

Yeah, Chris, maybe one day you'll make a half decent site...
I can easily create a form that allows people to change their usernames...but I wouldn't want to. It'd be too chaotic if people could change their usernames at a moment's notice, IMO. :yup:

'Tis stupid, yes.
Hence the rolling of the eyes.

Knightmare, the way it's setup now, Chris or myself can log into the control panel, and change a username really quickly. There's no big problem with people wanting their name changed, we just want to be sure that you'll keep this name.
It would get really confusing if a user constantly changed their name and got to the point that nobody knew who it was.

Actually, I'm an ADMIN. Moderators can't change names. Remember, I tried messing with your profile back when I was a moderator. :D

I was wondering if I should ask. I didn't want to mention it b/c then I knew that I would find out a way that I could've changed it. I wish I had now b/c at least with meglvsewan I could make a custom status for my profile. Its way cooler than having Movie Forums Member under my name.

Well, we CAN do something here. We can change your name to Ozma (I think), add the 20 some posts you have with this username and get you goin...or I can add the posts with your other name and then you'll get your title back.
Yep. I've also changed the settings so that you don't need any posts to upload a custom avatar or change your user title. This place is monitored enough that I don't think it'll be a problem. Let the chaos begin. :D
Awww:) Thank you so much. I just noticed it after my post. You guys are the  est. Now I have some more stuff to do before my homework  I spend too much time here, but I love it ;)

There ya go...got you all setup
Is it just me, or do I use way to many of those little faces in my messages?? It's just so easy to click on them and they look cute...most of the time :)
There I go again...

A H HA i get you now Spudly, i admit it i am a boofhead. I relise now what you mean. My idea wasnt to stupid, just impractical (if thats how you spell the word) sorry ppl, hang on what the hell am i apologizing for? being stupid? no way if i did that everytime i was wrong i would never talk again. Well Spudly you are right though this is the way so that ppl, can change there name only when they REALLY want to, my idea just would have caused chaos, oh well back to the drawing board.
