I said a week but instead if nobody votes for 24 hours then the poll is closed and the second round opens. In brackets is the film's winning margin

Schindler's List (11-2) v Toy Story (8-3)

Oh...oh American Beauty and Shawshank was a tie so I guess they both go through.

The Shawshank Redemption (7-7) v American Beauty (7-7) v The Silence of the Lambs (10-2)

Jurassic Park (8-6) v Goodfellas (11-1)

Braveheart (11-2) v Se7en (12-2)

Mission:Impossibile (9-4) v Fight Club (8-6)

Good Will Hunting (9-5) v American History X (6-4)

The Green Mile (6-4) v The Insider (6-3)

Election (5-5) v Leon (5-5) v Eyes Wiide Shut (7-6)

Let the vote for round 2 begin. It closes whenever there has been a slowdown in voting so do what normal voters do at the polls - vote early and vote often. Kidding, only vote once.

This system is greatly, greatly flawed.
Higher end competitors may get wiped, while worse films climb the ladder as a result of being paired off with crap.

Yeah,JPover GoodFellas. It wasn't easy to choose, but I went with the historic innovation of JP, and the new standard it set, even though it's been surpassed since. Good Fellas didn't make me cry the first time I saw it, so I guess that's really the clincher for me!:bawling:

Jurassic Park made you cry?

I see what you're saying and you're right, sometimes innovation takes over where a good script stops.

Jurassic Park made you cry?

Yes, it did. Think about it-----all your life, since you were a kid, you were fascinated with dinosaurs, watched Land of the Lost, loved to stare at the giant dinosaur skeletons at the museum, and always tried to imagine what they would have looked like live, with their skin on. No fake rubber model on movies was good enough, then, when you're 30 years old, you finally see something real looking. The scene where Dr. Grant is transfixed by the brachiosaurus, and then hears, wonder of wonders, that there is a T-Rex on the island, and he almost passes out, was incredibly powerful. I felt everything in that scene.

Everyone has a different level of emotions, if it's something that touches you deeply then yeah, you have every right to shed a tear. :)
