This movie wasn't even remotely funny.
I'm so pissed. It's long. Boring. The scenes
are disconnected. And staged. Vince Vaughn
is sweaty thru-out the entire movie - it's very
distracting. The score was all wrong for a film
set in Tahiti. They had Indian music when they
arrived on the island! Vince Vaughn's whole
"confused, stammering, fast talking" routine has
gotten old. It was funny in Wedding Crashers
and Swingers and The Break-Up. It ain't funny no
mo'. I think the humidity got to everyone because
the entire cast seemed exhausted and rundown.

I'm done. I want my $7.00 back and my 2 hrs.

I gather you didn't like it.

 ;)

Nope. I didn't. Apparently, no one does.
Not even Vince Vaughn.

I say they trim the fat from this flick and
do a re-release on DVD.

I seriously doubt that "no one does". What were you expecting?

Anyway, welcome to MoFo.

Of course this film wasn't funny, it stars Vince Vaughn. But then I see you thought he was funny in Swingers, The Wedding Crashers and The Break Up, so I'm confused.

Aww. I like Vince's style. But it's gotten old.
I also love French Polynesia, I was born and
raised on Huahine - I figured the two would
make a great pair... but I was wrong.

Oh well.

This is what irritates me about people. You say Vaughn's style has "gotten old". So why would you waste 7.00 bucks on a ticket? How could anyone watching that trailer not go into the movie thinking this was just going to be another goofball comedy by Vaughn?

And HK, c'mon. Vaughn was really funny in that one flick that one time...

Oh, that one flick... I obviously missed that one. :D

I blame optimism.

Couples Retreat ((DO NOT SEE))

The trailer basically summed this up for me already, to be honest.

Didn't it say "DO NOT SEE" before the trailer though ?

Trailers don't work that way.

You mean when I saw the poster/heard the premise?

Yes.

Vaughn isn't an actor. He's a funnyman. He's a movie star. He's not an actor. He's been playing the same note throughout his entire career.

More interesting: Where is the exact location of Erotic City? :)

If you play your cards right, it can be any city.
