Kanye West bashes Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs

In case you haven't heard, Kanye West had yet another one of his crazy antics in awards shows. This time it was at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. When the first award was presented to the winner - Taylor Swift for You Belong With Me (Female Video of the Year), Kanye West took the stage, grabbed the mic (and the award form poor Swift) and said, "Taylor, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time."

WTF?! What is wrong with this guy? Seriously.. Such an egotistical human being. I really felt bad for Taylor since it's her first win at the VMAs and for her to experience that? It's unfair.. Just unfair.

He's a dick for ruining Taylor's special moment, I'm glad Beyonce was nice enough to let her finish her speech. Kanye should be banned from all awards, the sad thing is he's achieved exactly what he wanted which was everyone talking about him the next day. Damn it, if he wasn't so talented people would have shunned him a long time ago.

Kanye West is the epitomy of the studio made star with NO talent whatsoever. I guarantee all those big hair metal stars we see on VH1 Behind The Music or Celebrity Rehab that Kanye and alot of his way overrated and overplayed hip hop stars will be in their place 10-15 years. "Oh I used to make so much money, but Id only drink champagne with flakes of gold, .." Go drink bleach you whiny coddled obliviousness! I agree Taylor Swift is overrated, but at least she's taken a music lesson in her life. When Missy Elliot can boast being one of the real most talented performers in hip hop then we know that talent pool is hurting. Anybody want to listen to "Im in love with a stripper"? I gotta disagree with the notion that he isn't talented. I won't necessarily dispute that a lot of this stuff is "studio made," but since when is that not part of the process? Anyway, I think the guy's completely insufferable, but that really just makes it all the more frustrating when he puts out something pretty flippin' good to listen to. I wouldn't consider myself a fan, and I haven't bought any of his albums, but he's good at what he does, unfortunately.

Lots of good songs have crappy lyrics. Hell, I'd say the majority of songs I like have pretty crappy lyrics. There's an old quote that says "anything which is too stupid to be spoken is sung," and I'd say it's usually true.

Anyway, this is the first I've ever even heard of "Stronger," so I don't know that it's accepted as definitive or perfectly representative of his stuff. I always thought "Jesus Walks" was his biggest hit. About half of those lyrics are stupid, too, but I don't usually listen to music to hear mediocre poetry, nor is that what makes or breaks most songs.

Tongo, for what he does he is very talented, as a performer he's sold millions of records and makes some pretty catchy tunes. OK, he did rip off Daft Punk on Stronger but some of his other songs are pretty good. Obviously he's no Tupac or Biggie in terms of his influence on the industry but I think along with the likes of Timbaland and The Neptunes he's one of the most talented producers around. There's no denying some of his beats are superb.

Most rap and hiphop albums nowadays are heavily studio produced, gone are the days of raw albums like Mobb Deep's first effort.

Anyway, I know we can all agree on one thing, Kanye needs to lay off the Henny and sort his life out, I seriously hope this incident hurts his records sell. Him saying he's the best thing since the Beatles and Elvis is such a joke, he's done nothing yet to proove that.

Taylor Swift actually doesn't sound very good if you listen to her live. She just appeals to the audience of teenagers who don't get a lot of attention in the country music world.

Most of her songs are actually saying the same thing. I'm in love with the guy that's my best friend. I know all his favorite songs. I'm too shy about it to tell him, so he dates some one else.
