Hi guys. :)

Just whipped up a couple of small enhancements to the Lists (http://www.movieforums.com/lists) area:

1) I've added a small search box to the top of the main Lists page, so you can easily find out whether something you've seen is on any of the lists. I know I've wanted this feature a number of times myself, and it should make updating your lists more convenient. The search results should show up almost immediately right there on the page, and if the list is ranked (most are), clicking on each list should scroll you right to the movie in question. EDIT: I forgot to note that the search will match partial titles as well, so just typing a word or two should work fine.

Take note of the scrollbar that appears on the right, to make sure you don't miss any additional results. :)

2) Now, when editing your list or viewing another's, you'll see a few links off to the right that will allow you to display All list items, just those which have been checked, or just those that are unchecked. Figured this would be a handy way to filter things.

Let me know if you guys notice any issues with either, as the second item necessitated a change in the way the list items are coded, and it's entirely possible I missed something. :)

Enjoy.

Both of those are very handy dandy, but I especially love the search function for the lists. That will come in handy, very often. Nice work! :)

Yeah, I like AJAX-based stuff (IE: stuff that updates without refreshing). I think it's a pretty nice way to integrate features like this.

What happens when you try? What browser (and browser version) are you using?

Are you clicking the "Search" button, or actually hitting enter? If it's the latter, you'll have to actually hit the button.

I think I forgot to mention this, because I had to sort out a few bugs, and I'm sure many of you have already noticed, but each user's Lists percentages now have their own tab on their profiles, as well. :)

I get this sometimes, but sometimes all I have is a one or two word title.

"Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms, or make sure the Search Entire Posts option is checked below and try again"

"Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms, or make sure the Search Entire Posts option is checked below and try again" A search word needs to be four letters or more. SOB for example, when entered in the search yields this: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms, or make sure the Search Entire Posts option is checked below and try again. The search isn't broke that's just a limitation the software has, the same thing happens on a computer help board I read. For three letter words you have to use an outside search engine like google or duckduckgo and direct it to search just MoFo likes this: SOB site:movieforums.com
