View Full Version : Superheros....
So. I'm new to this site and I don't know anyone. When meeting new people, I think that it is very important to know this one thing about them:
If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?
Batman.
Why, who would you be?

I'd be like Charlie the Firestarter... she's not a superhero but she can Bar-B-Que
My original thought would be that I could walk on water, but after reading Toose's post, I decided that being a firestarter would be pretty nifty. Now I want both. Being able to read other people's minds would also be fun, since I can be pretty nosy.
That's a tough question. Any superpower? And it has to be something cool, IE: I can't just choose "extreme wisdom"? If it has to be a more superheroesque, cool, mainstream superpower, well, I guess I'd go with Wolverine's. Being able to take a lot of abuse like that would be a highly practical, yet inconspicuous power.

Ok, so tell us who you are mystery hero. Go to the introduction thread and give us the dirt. Mind reading is not a current power of mine unless I'm standing close to you... :D

I don't think I have to say what superhero I would be, if you don't know the answer to that one...you don't know me..
Hands down Spider-Man!!
i would choose the superpower of flying or invisibility. :p
A.) Invisibility
or
B.) Be able to stop time whenever I want.
Bah; the second isn't fair. Far too powerful.

Superman
just look at what the guy stands for even thou my not american just look.
I'm here to fight for truth, justice, and the American way.
SUPERMAN (http://ffmedia.ign.com/filmforce/image/superman-reeve-flying.jpg)
I'd be The Punisher, because he kicks so much ass and he doesn't even have any superpowers. Just a nasty mouth and a couple of giant guns. And although I hate guns, if I was a superhero, I'd have to carry some. And his shirt has a giant skull on it.

Punisher is bada*s no doubt about it.
My nephew has a card where Venom merges with Punisher and it looks sweet. Anyways, very good choice L.B. and Steve. :D
Guy, you could've just tried out for Clockstoppers. :D

I'd be Freddy Krueger. Not exactly a good hero, but I could be free from the real world and I'd reside in people's dreams, which I could turn into my own surreal stories. I'd look pretty cool too for a skinny guy, especially with my fedora, striped sweater and fun glove.

Why not be the guy from Dreamscape. :D

I haven't seen Dreamscape, yet I saw it in my grandparents' video library the last time I was over there place. I should have asked if I could borrow it (that instantly lets me own it).
Besides, I'm sure whoever that guy is, he can't beat Freddy Krueger. Nope. No way.

He's played by Dennis Quaid, can't think of his character name however. Saw a bit of it on AMC the other day.

Invisibility would be best for getting revenge on people :furiousdevil:

Neo's a good one...
And although (again) not a superhero, I would have to say that being a Jedi would probably be one of the funnest things ever. Just being able to use the Force would rock, not to metion designing your own light saber (color choice is important).
Pros: Mind powers of all shapes and sizes, kick-ass weaponry, sage mentors.
Cons: The "no love" clause, the whole "fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate" thing, the bland outfits, the parental drama, and, of course, the Dark Side. And if there's always "another," you just couldn't feel truly special.
It's a good thing I'm not a Jedi, really, 'cause I'd definitely turn to the Dark Side at the first beckoning. I buckle like a belt. ;D (Jeez, could that sound worse? I need to gain control of the power of the double entendre before I tackle the Force.)

"With the blast shields down, I can't even see--how'm I supposed to fight?" What kind of question is that for a Jedi Knight?

That is BEYOND funny. It must be added to The Glossary (http://www.movieforums.net/glossary.php). :yup: And yes, nothing beats being a Jedi. 'Tis disgustingly cool.
Ack. Okay, I retract any previous answers I had to my question. I now want my super power to be able to use the Force at will...

Call me childish but i've always thought X-Ray vision would be pretty cool!
The force would obviously be the ultimate. Although i would instantly turn to the Dark Side, who wants the stupid "no love rule" or the fear that you cant be p****d at someone without turning evil. Plus you get to wear cool black outfits! Surely the Dark Side is a bonus, you could do whatever you wanted!

I'll take black military-style uniforms over khaki sackcloth drapery any day. Feel the power of the Dark Side! Join us!

I would have a super sense of humor, and I'd have the ability to be super attractive to Winona Ryder and Alyson Hannigan... I'd be super funny, and I'd be scoring all the time!!!
id be able to control the elements (earth, wind, fire and water) that would kick ass
but i think the best superhero has to be spiderman i would be like him as a second choice
Fez Wizardo

Fez Wizardo
