Sidney Lumet: 12 Angry Men, Fail-Safe, The Pawnbroker, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Murder on the Orient Express, Network, Prince of the City, Deathtrap, etc.

Plus you know Lumet has been making films for some 50 years, some of them excellent (like the ones Mark mentioned).

I do like the Lumet films I've seen, 12 Angry Men and Network, but I just like Leon more.

Lumet just takes it for me, as much as I loved Leon, I think 12 Angry Men is one of the best movies ever made.
