I'm giving it to the Coens. I've only seen two Welles films - Citizen Kane and Touch of Evil and while both were great films, they never really grabbed me the way that the bulk of the Coens' output has.

I've also only seen those two by Welles and feel exactly the same way on this.

I have to go with The Coen Brothers on this one.
Just saw Touch of Evil last night, ironically enough. Didn't love it, even though Welles in general is a mighty impressive fellow.
Coens. Enjoyability wins out over cinematic influence this time.

Should be an easy win for The Coens. And I say they are going to go down in history as being just as big if not bigger influence cinematically speaking as Welles, easily.
