Any of you MoFo's keep a blog?
I've got a few questions. When people say 'I have a blog' does that mean they have their own site or that their blog is on some blog site?
Does any of you keep a blog? If that's the case, which site do you use?
Thanks.
They could mean either -- that they have a site with a blog on it, or that they have a blog on Blogger, Blogspot, Xanga, etc. I'd say most blogs are hosted by other sites, however.
I had a political blog years ago, but eventually found it too time-consuming to continue, at least for now.

Are most blogs limited to some specific field, for an example politics? I figured I was just going to write random stuff. :p
Not limited at all -- most are just general musings, though in order to be widely read, or read by people beyond those that know you personally on some level, they usually have to focus on a specific subject. High-niche blogs seem to do better than broader ones as time goes on, but it's all about what you're hoping to achieve, really.

MoFo is my blog. And I tend to write random stuff 95% of the time. Welcome home.

Well, really I'm not hoping to achieve anything, other than grab boredom by the cojones.
I figured it would just be the place, where I would write random stuff, that suddenly occurres to me.

Well, a specific thread here for that purpose could be a possibility.
I joined Twitter through another site I use and that seems like a mini blog site but I dont use it much as it is quite boring and as I didnt really know anyone on there it was just me and a few friends leaving the odd post here and there.

Yep, its basically the same principle. The main difference being I guess is that you can write an entire article and then all most folks can do is comment on it and here you can... wait. Sounds like a blog is exactly the same thing. :D
I prefer the forum method myself. If someone wants to comment on your stuff then at least you have a clue who they are. That's what the Intermission section of the forum is for. Have you ever gone back a few years in that thing? You will find some seriously random stuff being written and talked about. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the stuff you're thinking of writing about already has a thread somewhere.

Mine too -- this is seriously my only real and most favorite place to be online. I have a Livejournal, but I'm not using it much anymore. It has a nasty past for me (I actually met my ex through it).

I have a livejournal. That's free. It's kind of specific for me, in that it's partly for fanfiction and generally geeky discussions related to that kind of thing, but I also use it for blogging random things from my life. But you could use it for whatever you liked, and you can change the privacy settings for each post so they're viewable to everyone or locked to specific groups of friends.
