My apologies for the gap inbetween the two. I'm a little more settled in with things now and will try to get these out every few weeks, more or less. I've got some interesting ideas that I'm very excited to try out.

This one's about twice as long as the first, at just under 28:00. Still learning to polish the audio, so please forgive the occasional echo and such. :) I might actually re-edit some of the noise reduction tomorrow evening, in which case I'll upload the new version over the old one. These will get better over time, but the only way to get better is to keep doing it, so thanks for putting up with these while I'm still finding a groove.

I had a smile when I opened iTunes and saw a new podcast.

Also the work print wasn't grainy, it was pretty much the final film, minus F/X, it was great quality.

But I do agree with you on the whole movies don't surprise us anymore. Also with Star Trek. Goos Listening to.

Ah, my mistake on the work print. Obviously I didn't watch the thing, so I assumed it was like all the others.

I definitely hope to expound on the increasingly transparent moviemaker process in future podcasts, and perhaps an article. It's really changed the industry, but doesn't get talked about enough.

An interesting idea, or two, would be to have a "special guest" as a co-host for the podcast every now and then. Don't know if it's possible, but an idea. Either that, or have a MoFo interviewed in each podcast.

That's exactly the plan. :) I've been playing around with Skype and I think I've got the two audio sources sufficiently figured out so as to record a conversation, which is almost always going to be wayyy better than just monologues.

Yeah, I'm not gonna give you any false modesty there: I love how the intro came out. I used the intro to learn the basics of all the audio editing stuff, and can't believe how much fun it ended up being.

What did you use? It really came out well. I am recommending the podcast to a bunch of people!

Meanwhile - I re-watched Nemesis recently, and although it is flawed, it's a pretty solid film.

I used Audacity, which is mind-blowing. Not so much that it's free -- that's impressive, but not unexpected -- but that it's something like 2 MB to download, too. The envelope tool is amazing for fading in and out, the zooming in and out on the fly is simple, and the ability to copy and paste portions of the track by dragging your mouse is so intuitive and convenient.

The noise removal's pretty good, too, but for this last podcast I had to amplify my audio a lot to match the intro, so next time I'm going to increase the levels during recording, which should go a really long way towards making the whole thing sound better.

I actually mostly agree on Star Trek: Nemesis. It's not horrible...but I think it was much better on paper than it ended up being on screen. I saw it right when it came out, in theaters, but haven't seen it since, so you might have just persuaded me to rent it and give it another look.

It's worth the look. The problem that remains in subsequent viewings is the attempt at involving the entire cast just to get them some screen time, when Picard and Data are really the only points of interest in the flick.

So - If you ever want me to dial in for a podcast and jaw about...well, anything, let me know!

You've said before that you talk too fast. Forget about it, I'm Danish and I understood every word you said.
The embedded player being a little 'wonky'. Aside from the fact that you can't pause it or wind in it, the track flows perfectly without any lag.
