View Full Version : MoFo Fantasy Football - Week 7

Alright MoFo's time for another week of humiliating defeats and thorough ass whoopin's. :p
Fresh off my first loss of the year I can only say this: Mrs. Darcy, I'm sorry... It's nothing personal. But you are going down! Was that over the top?
Let's review the games shall we?
As I already mentioned I am in fact matched up against Darcy's Destroyers this week and if the other half of my team shows up I hope to get back in the win column this week. Watch Phillip Rivers have a 50 point day... ;)
In other games around the league we have the 11 Very angry men who now are 4-2 after a bumpy start to the season. They are riding a 3 game win streak and this reporter sees no need to worry about that this week as they are matched up against the feckless (yes that's right I said feckless, as in they have no feck!) Bean Town Champs, who would simply be happy with a win at this point.
Next we have the continued rolling of the Bot's against The Tupac Ressurection who it seems has abandoned ship. I'm sure Bobby will return right around the time I play him so he can throw in a few guys that will have monster days for his team and completely screw up my playoff run... But I digress. Anyway it appears Bobby is out doing life type of stuff. Shame really when Life gets in the way of fanatsy.
Next we have Slug's Bubblebutts vs. The Face Huggers who also desperately need a win. It's not going to get any easier for The Face Huggers however because Slug's team looks poised to have a big day and a few of The Face Huggers teams looks to be up against tough defenses. Good luck Sluggo!
Now this game could be interesting, on paper team Tongo has the edge against The Flying Mongooses. Good thing they're going to go ahead and play the games for real eh? SC has a one Mr. Chris Johnson on his team and he may very well grab 40+ points today against a piss poor Kansas City defense that is giving up over 200 yards per game. We'll see though.
And last but assuredly not least we have The Shark's vs. Boondock Skins. Now I'm not one to harbor resentments towards the team that handed me my first loss of the season last week; by seriously over performing and most likely cheating. I'm a bigger man today, so when I say that the Boondock team will not only romp and romp big time... it comes from a very level headed reading of the facts and statistics of the case at hand. Just sayin'
Have fun all!
Ah, excellent, I thread that isn't making me want to slit my wrists as I read! ;)
Good luck to all! Hang in there during these tough bye weeks, folks!
Man, TO is SUCH as *******. Watching some interviews with him. Total jerk.

Yeah, he is a serious piece of work. Ocho Stinko isn't much better. Hence the cutting of his worthless ass. At least TO puts up some numbers from time to time.
Hey, someone noticed my win streak. ;)
Yeah, I really should win this week, but that obviously doesn't mean I will. We'll see. I do expect the Steeler defense to completely smother the Bengal offense (especially with Palmer out).
Ironically, all my worrying about who to start is completely moot this week, with Fitzgerald on a Bye and Addai listed as Doubtful. This allows me to start Grant and Slaton, play Johnson and Colston at WR, and stick Ward in the W/R slot.
Next week, the choices will be a bit tougher, though what Grant and Colston do this week should have a big bearing on who plays next week, particularly in Grant's case.

I know Addai is officially listed as doubtful but I heard he's not playing at all from several sources. I think the Colt's like to play it cute with their injury reports much like they did with Peyton's second surgery. For whatever reason. I'm sure people from the No Fun League will look into it.
Not that it really matters in this match-up against the Invisible Men, but, should a go out on a limb and play both Jets WRs today, sitting Housh, who has a rough match-up vs Pitt?
That said, Fitzpatrick seems to have chemistry with Housh, and throws to him the most. Fitz is second string QB, though...

Farve against that Oakland secondary? Yeah, playing two receivers from the Jets will probably payoff big.
Housh is hurt too, although he is going to play last I heard.
I left Housh in. He is active and is already involved in some offense, Hopefully it won't make a big difference [my choice].
QB or no, Bobby's team is on FIRE!
Well, the Steelers jumped out to a really quick 10-0 lead, but just gave up a TD to the Bengals right before the half. I'm not really worried, and Ben's on pace to have a strong game, but the Steelers really ought to be able to get a turnover or two in the second half. They've got two sacks already though, and I expect Dick LeBeau's defense to adjust and improve after halftime.
Meanwhile, Colston didn't catch a single pass in the first half.

2 TD's from Chicago's D so far... love that. If they hadn't given up 17 points already they would be sitting at about 30 points today. Oh well.
O'Sullivan is having another decent day if Jakey boy doesn't pick it up I think he's going back to the bench and I'm just going to ride the ups and downs of the O'Sullivan express.

Man, I hope K2 plays today, my backup TE already has 13+ points today... I wish someone would tell these sorts of things are going to happen ahead of time.

Atta boy Jakey! I take back some of those things I said. Some.
My team is really doing terribly today. Even with two players out on Bobby's team, I could lose. Bad call playing Forte today...
I think you might get a big day out of Cotchery, but it could be close, which is pretty crazy.
Still absolutely nothing from Colston. But Tony Gonzalez is having a far better day than I'd hoped, so I'm doing okay. I don't mind Colston easing back into things, but after losing Addai I could really use the shot in the arm a returned-to-form Colston can provide. Has anyone been watching the game? Is he not playing much, or has he dropped a couple balls, or what?
My season is falling apart. That's it for Bush, who looks like he may have torn an MCL/ACL...
Trouble.
We'll see, but yeah, dangerous territory. At 5-1, though, you can probably afford to lose Bush for a number of weeks, provided you have him back for a playoff run. I'm poking around and don't see anything definitive yet, though.
By the by: TEN Saints have at least one reception. Marques Colston isn't among them. Craziness.
Hopefully the injury isn't too serious. Waiting to see what is up...

28 points from Chicago's D today! I wonder how many they would have gotten if they hadn't given up 41 points to Minny on top of it. Kee-Ray-Zee!

TONGO is very lucky I didn't go with my gut and play Aaron Rodgers over Brees this week. If I had, he'd be cooked, but as it is, I think he's gonna eek this one out. Bummer.

Man, tough break Seds. Talk about unlucky.

Geez Swedish, I didn't know you had Antonio Bryant on your roster too. The Seahawk Defense is absolutely terrible. I mean they're bad. Anyone who wants some free fantasy advice better listen up. Play your bench guys against the Seattle Defense this year. They will all have career days.
What a kooky week. I currently have the high score, but with only 119.54 points, which is hardly a lot. I've got my kicker going tomorrow night, too, but The Skins are just 6 points down and have Wes Welker, so they may take the top score for the week.
Final tally, by the way: eleven Saints with at least one reception. Colston not among them; he dropped two passes. Meh. He was wearing a splint, however, so that might have had something to do with it.
EDIT: oh yeah, I almost forgot: Ryan Grant! 117 total yards, and a score, good for 18.7 points. Finally. Now I don't have to kidnap any of his loved ones.
If the scores hold, we'll have PW at 6-1, followed by four 5-2 teams. That should make for one awfully tight playoff run.

I'm looking for homefield advantage come playoff time. The road to the MoFo Bowl 1 is gonna go right through my living room and no one is going to find that an easy place to get a victory.
Yikes...
Total implosion for the Bots :(
I must now reconfigure my team to more of a default style, running three WRs. Forte's bye compounds the problem, and will have me short not one, but two RBs this week.
Come on Baltimore backs! ;)
Well, i certainly did NOT expect a blow out in the Pats game. Looks like they were gelling better as a team last night. What a leader Moss has turned into. Good for him.
Eek...don't like my chances against Swedish in Week 8. Grant on a Bye, Addai probably still out, Steelers up against the Giants' pass rush, and I'll probably have to start someone like Moore or Taylor, neither of him figure to get a ton of carries.
I have a tough week lined up, too... Not sure what to do about my situation. No Bush, no Forte...
Yikes!
At least my match-ups aren't terrible this week. Playing against Seattle, KC and teams of that defensive caliber. Hopefully my subs don't stink it up...
The Colts have a super tough match-up, though, which worries me...
Is this the week for Matt Ryan to sub in?
