I'm not sure if anyone else runs this sort of thing - but if not I would like to orginize a voting structure for the forums to participate in : for votes on the best movies of this year.

Send me a PM (or just post here) what films are the best of the specific catagorey.

Ok, you're going to have to clarify for me again exactly what is the difference between story and plot? I always thought they were the same thing. Unless by story in this instance you mean concept/idea?

plot = the idea for the movie and basic premise

story = everything that happens throughout the entire film

Consensus brings us stuff like The Oscars, where the middle ground wins by virtue of not pissing any one off. I'd like to think that, as a site, we're classier than that.

Personal, individual lists are a different kettle of fish, and they're always good for a read... ;)

I originally thought this thread was about awarding MoFo's awards like "Best Signature" or somethin.

I think we shouldn't vote, cause the whole point of the Oscars and such is to be able to go "Hey!Jackass!Give Scorsese an Oscar!Whaddya mean he got one? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Hey!Jackass!Give Tom Hanks another Oscar!" and we can't do that about ourselves or the entire MoFo time/space/awards continuum will implode! IMPLODE I TELL YOU!

I like the idea, but I think the catagories sould be

1) Best Actor
2) Best Supporting Actor
3) Best Actress
4) Best Supporting Actress
5) Best Special Effects
6) Best Stunts
7) Best Original Screenplay
8) Best Original Song (this is my favorite catagory)
9) Best Adapted Screenplay
