My name is Cammie and beside my love of movies I am going to be bringing another little movie critic into the world hopefully in approximately 10 days. I am 18 years old and going to be a single mom very very soon. Needless to say my nights watching a movie at the cinema is history. Netflix here I come. :) Well beside my love for movies I also enjoy classic rock:Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Fairport Convention, Jefferson Airplane, Led Zeppelin stuff of that nature. My goal in life right now id to raise a healthy baby and to be able to attend college at some point.

Ah, I hear ya. Actually that was just what people said to me when I was 18 and listening to Fairport Convention, so I figured I'd pass on the torch. :p

When your baby hits 18 you won't be my current age yet and I'll be really freaking old. :D

Of course my perception of what old is will have changed by then and it'll be all good.

I feel old is just relative. If you are young at heart you can be 100 and still young. :)

Hey Cammie, nice to meet you. My name is Tim but you can call me Tim.

Don't worry, there is always someone to sucker into babysitting.

While I was typing this message, I got the first trick or treaters I have ever gotten in three years of living here & I felt so bad about not having candy I gave them 10 bucks each.

LoL!

It happened 3 more times last night. I ended up giving out 160 dollars last night, before I finally sent my fiancee to get some candy... but of course once I had candy, no one else showed up.

Well I sure hope you got some good candy because it cost you an awful lot for it.;D Too bad no one else came to the door, but at least you have some candy to watch movies with now.

It was probably the same kids running home, changing costumes and hitting you up again. :yup:

I do have come great candy! :) I am having Reese's Peanutbutter Cups & Milkways for breakfast as we speak. lol!

You know what, Misterking? I was halfway through a quasi-witty response when it hit me (I am in no way exaggerating this for the sake of humor.) You just might be correct on that assumption.

The first group that came to the door were two boys & a girl, that were somewhere inbetween four & five feet in height so I am guessing they were somewhere around 10 or 11 years of age. All three had very elaborate costumes, but without knowledge of any of the animated shows or movies of recent years I was only able to recognize one which was Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The stentorian greeting of 'Trick or Treat' was made in unison & once I gave them each 10 dollars each, of course they ran off screaming in celebration.

The second group was two boys with their mother. I only recognized one of the boys as Dash from 'The Incredibles' while their mother was Lara Croft from 'Tomb Raider' (A hot Lara Croft at that.) who tried to give back the money but I insisted they keep the money & explained why I had bought no candy, which made me feel terrible.

The third group was two boys & a girl who were the same height as the first (Though I only realized this while typing this message.) Their costumes weren't as complex as the first & truthfully the girl seemed to be wearing pajamas rather then a costume, then one of the boys was in casual clothing with a mask of a pig or something that resembled a pig, while the other boy was spiderman, but the costume consisted only of one of those web shooters that used silly string, a cheap plastic mask and spiderman sweat pants. Only one the boys gave the 'Trick or Treat' greeting while the other two seemed to be distracted by something. As I explained again why I had no candy I dropped ten dollars into each of there halloween buckets I commented that they had the same buckets as the first group.

5 more kids came afterwards, one girl came with her father, then a boy & a girl came with their mother, then two more boys came with both of their mothers & as before I explained the candy situation, gave them ten buck each, then I sent my fiancee to go get some candy cause I had given out 130 dollars at that time.

While she was gone, another group came with two boys & one girl who were all in casual attire with only cheap grocery store halloween paint on their faces. They were again the same size as the first & third group, but this time they carried plastic bags from a grocery store which only had a few candy bars each. This time it was the girl who said 'Trick or Treat' & as I started to hand out two five dollar bills to each I saw my fiancee getting out of her, Jetta. So I said 'Finally, my fiancee is here I can give you some candy' they hauled ass as fast as I had ever seen kids runs before, lol.

At the time I didn't think nothing of it, because I pay no attention to things like that or expect such actions from kids... but now that you have mentioned it, Misterking.. I am pretty sure I was bamboozled out of 90 dollars by some elementary kids.

I guessed they are teaching mulcting & criminal confidence to 5th graders.

Those 2 boys and a girl really made out with $30 each. That has to be the most expensive Halloween that I have ever heard of in my life. Next year I know who will have loads of candy at his house for Halloween. :)
