Howdy, MoFos.

Okay, sooo...you know that "This Just In" box that shows recently posted-in threads on the forum home page? Well, at the moment, it displays the most recent threads, but only from the movie-related forums. That is, it excludes forums like Games and Tabs (http://www.movieforums.com/community/games-and-tabs.html) and Intermission: Miscellaneous Chat (http://www.movieforums.com/community/intermission-miscellaneous-chat.html).

So, here's the question: is this the way it should be, or should it display recent posts from all forums? Or, as a halfway-measure, should it display threads from all forums, but exclude just a handful of threads, like Word Association (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=3749)?

I'm pretty torn on this one, so feedback would be especially appreciated.

I've sometime wondered why certain threads haven't come up there when I've looked for replies (obviously i now know certain threads are excluded) and i reasoned that the 'Games and Tabs' forum was an obvious exclusion since most new posts consist of one word. Would however like to see updates in 'Intermission' and perhaps the Movie Tab on the 'This Just In' menu.

I would include the other subforums, because sometimes it isn't updated for hours if people don't post in Review or General Discussion, even though there are new posts in the other subforums.

Okay, I've just updated the box to display pretty much all the major forums. It excludes a few specific threads, such as Word Association (http://www.movieforums.com/community/showthread.php?t=3749), for obvious reasons.

I'll keep an eye on things to make sure that certain threads (tabs, mostly) don't take up too much space on there. If they do, I might exclude them, too, if only to make sure that we don't crowd out some of the review-based, or more analytical threads, which are much more insightful, but obviously don't see as many posts.
