Ghost Rider is released in the UK on 2nd of July. I've been reading GR for years and years and although the film may have been a bit rough around the edges it still tickled all my comic book fancies.
I'm just debating now whether I get it on DVD or wait in the hope that someday I'll have BluRay.
Apparently there is an extended version released aswell.
:furiousdevil:
Rough around the edges? Ghost Rider was by far, one of the worst films I have ever seen. Not one redeemable quality to be found. Not one. Terrible writing, awful, awful acting across the board, and one of the worst screenplays ever written.
But I guess I can see why your pissed that it got released on DVD. Such an odd occurrence! To think the things they do with movies these days! How dare they release the film on DVD and BLURAY!!
And yes, as to your last comment, the nerve of them to release an extended version! The horror!

Well it just seems a bit awkward not knowing if I'll have BluRay in a short time or not. I don;t want to end up with another format changeover where I can't stand the quality of the former.
It's not that bad

Well isn't it still uncertain as to what is going to dominate between blu ray and hd dvd? If you want to watch it anytime soon you might as well buy the DVD and buy it on blu ray once you get a blu ray player.
Also how are the prices of blu ray players in your location? In Australia its funny because blu ray players cost around A$1000 whereas the playstation 3 only costs around A$970. Seems to me that the playstation 3 is a much better investment over the blu rary players at the present time.
Changing the subject a little... I go for HD and titles on Blu-Ray here in, are sold on HD overseas and such. I just order them and add to my collection that way. Ghost Rider (per say).

I suppose you're right but (although I never owned one and it is only grapevine) I heard the PS2 couldn't play DVDs as well as a normal player. Also that constant use would damage your DVDs. Maybe this would be similar case or maybe it's all fiction.
I am glad though personally. I have the X-Box 360 HD-DVD add on cause it plays not only standard DVDs and HD's but also import HD's (Blu-Ray titles that are Exclusively released onto HD)
