The Movie Forum main index page:
Does NOT list the Movie Questions sub-forum:
Goto the Movie Questions page and use the up-tree to confirm what I mean.
OK, add a complaint:
:furiousdevil: There should be no link-limits for internal forum links!

True. I think it should be listed with the other sub forums because then
a. People wouldn't post movie questions in other sub forums
b. People could see the questions and answer them
c. It might encourage people to give more of a clue about the nature of the question in the title rather than calling the thread 'movie question' 'help' or 'what is this film'.

This has been posted before. A quick search on "movie questions" would reveal a thread wherein I provide this explanation...
"The Movie Questions forum shows up in searches and post listings and all that, but isn't displayed on the mainpage. This is because I've yet to come up with an elegant way for displaying questions. I don't want to display it just like another forum, for a few different reasons, but I don't want a half-way measure up, either. So I'm a bit stuck."

Yes there should. It cuts down on spam. Most new members who want to post links within their first handful of posts want to do so for self-promotional reasons.

B) has some merit, but people will always posts threads in the General Movie Discussion forum, especially question threads, because people with questions want as many people as possible to see their thread, and figure the General forum is the most popular. Also, new members really don't have any track record here for caring about forum organization at all.
Unfortunately, I think C) is even more inevitable. If and when I come up with a good way to display the Movie Questions forum, we'll find out for sure, but I'll be extremely surprised if thread titles get much more descriptive.
