Oops… forgot to check back in here… I actually got to read the chapter (which was excellent) but missed the deadline to rate it… sorry. Would love to be able to finish it one day so let me know when it hits the book stores… :)

Well, it turns out there were over 2500 entries (they were anticipating about 200), and they only chose 20 to move on to the second round. Statistically I didn't stand a chance. Especially since I keep using what is essentially a first draft to enter these contests!

However, I move forward. I'm finishing up a murder mystery I started in November, and that'll be entered in a different contest in October. That'll keep me busy for a while.
